It's going to be returning in some form, but it'll be less tedious.

Why is FemShep's pet Space Hamster riding on her head?

I guess the little creature got bored in the cage, so Shepherd took Spacey out for a ride!

And yes, it was a tedious experience, scan, scan, scan, O M G, where is the <expletive> spike?!?!?

If only I got 1 credit for each unit of mineral retrieved, then it would have been worth it!
I had 1.5 mill of three of them, 30000 of the Element Zero, that would have been 4.8 million credits!
Ironically, I had a pittance of credits, but all these minerals that I couldn't even sell and wasn't using!

I finally got my Mass Effect toys!

And decided to celebrate with a comic:
Posted Image

As an test of your sci-fi knowledge, see if you can identify the non-Mass Effect toys I used in the pictures.

While I was sorting through their accessories for props, I found this
i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu100/zrowngctr/Mass%20Effect/AnotherOmnitool.jpg
and started to wonder, is it similar to an omnitool?

In the movie, it's a wrist mounted holographic computer display.
It functions quite a lot like the omnitool!

Reminds me of Robot Chicken.

Aren't those Dr. Weir and Samantha straight from SG Atlantis? And the other alien is from Farscape if I am right. Don't know about the other one (in white clothes) though, ... kinda hard to see for certain.

Well, one is Elizabeth Weir!
The other is not Samantha Carter, but she is from Stargate Atlantis.
And yes, Farscape is right.

It should be easy to work out who they are now.

Check the link in my post for a closer view of the one in silver/white.
I'm not sure if everyone has seen that movie, since it's "borderline" sci-fi.

After I finished the photoshoot, I realized I had left one sci-fi girl out.
I have a Max toy, from the show Dark Angel.

It's funny, but I never understood why the Citadel with closed wards can be considered impenetrabale when it has a huge backdoor hole in it, namely the central ring.

There's flaps somewhere that cover the presidium ring when the thing closes, iirc. Presumably on the ward arms like the ones at the front

Congratulations!
You got the remaining 3!

Ah, we're all nerds here!
I'm probably a bigger one though, with all the toys and all.......

Here's the picture I took earlier that shows the other end of the Citadel can close off, so it is completely enclosed.
http://i637.photobuc...edCitadel01.jpg

I'm still trying to work out where the heck these flaps are!
You don't see them anywhere in the approaching movie.
My theory it it's like the iris mechanism on the Stargate, which spirals out into a solid barrier from inside the gate.
That would make sense, if it wasn't visible, it'd be a number of segments inside the ring to the rear of the Citadel.

Although I'd have to say, it was pretty stupid of the Citadel operators to seal up the Citadel with Sovereign inside the arms!
Kinda defeats the purpose, if the attacker you're trying to keep out is already in there!

The Reaper itself, through Saren, controlled the Citadel operations.
You can see Saren using the MCU (main contoll unit) just before the final confrontation with him.

Yeah, cause didn't they try to close it before Sovereign got in, but he just rammed through all ships and then took over...
Then Commander Shepard came and Sovereign was all like: Oh, noo I'm screwed! what shuold I do? Oh, I should totally turn Saren into a zombie-frog!

Thanks for the picture Katamariguy.

I can clearly see the aft end covers now.
I always assumed because of the angle from which the Citadel is viewed in the game, they were a kind of flange or fin.
I didn't realize these were the segments of the aft seal.

Another comic offering.
The red text is the voice of the Hamerhead, the blue of the Mako.
Posted Image

For context, I always assumed the Mako had an ability to fly, otherwise it wouldn't be able to return to the Normandy, but it was too complicated at the time to show the Mako returning to the Normandy at the time, so the mission just ended instead.

I thought the Normandy landed and you drove up the ramp. Also, the comic makes me think of sibling rivalry.
