I keep telling my friends. I hope there is a choice that in Order to buy time for the galaxy to rally behind you that you must do another "arrrival" style of cutting the reapers bridge. So you crash an asteroid onto the Charon Relay. vaporizing the solar system, a good chunk of the reaper fleet, along with the planet earth.

Would be awesome, tactically feasable, strategically sound, and downright logical if you need more time to rally more forces.

Well, given the fact that Shepard is human I guess he would do any effort to save Earth.
Plus, in Arrival the destruction of that start system, how unfortunate that it was, happened in a far away star system at the edge of the galaxy, and it wasn't the home system of any race. The number of victims is far lower that the number of the casualties if Earth and its entire star system would be destroyed, plus that it is our home system.

lol. I'm Pro saving as many lifes as possible. Earth is nothing compared to the rest of the galaxy. And neither is any single planet, colony or space station. Sad... and messed up, but if a batarian colony can buy is time... then there isn't any different in doing the same elsewhere. Unless I am certain we can save it without heavy casualties earth will be just a fool's bargain. Crash something into it and vaporize the system.

I'd wonder how many reapers would be destroyed in the process when one their relays goes nova like.
