After every mission in ME2 I found myself running back to my squadmates in order to find out if there are some new dialogue options.
I really wanted to learn more about them; in my opinion it's a great reward system and really encourages you to do as many missions as you could, just because you want to find out more about your team.
It was kind of a letdown when the team got nothing new to say.

There could have been way more dialogue in ME2, so I really hope we get more chances to talk with our squaddies.

I'm all for more dialogue as long as it's not stretching it. With the number of missions in ME 2 if everyone had new dialogue for every mission it would just get silly and over saturated. Arbitrarily forcing more dialogue isn't the best decision, but I agree...some of the companions had laughable amounts of dialogue. Hell, Garrus only talks to you about 2 or 3 times. I'd like them to flesh them out further, but I don't want it to be forced.
