Think I'll pass. Nothing Earth or should I say, Eden Prime shattering.

Still no improvement to the face creator. They could have used this opportunity to include a simple fix and everything would have been sorted. A 360 patch will arrive soon; how many more of those are we going to see?. One or two maybe?. What if nothing has been done by the last patch?. PC users have a usable (but primitive) savegame editor now that can edit Shepards existing appearance and will improve with time, but what will 360 players do if nothing changes?

It's downright infuriating.

Hehe, that's how it's always been.

It's not a good sign when the patch comes out before the DLC.   ;-)
[*]

[*]Velhicle controls have been in the game since day 1, and are nothing new with the patch

Get a PC?

This is exactly why PC > Consoles. You are not stuck with what they give you. Some of my favorite games have gigantic mods that completely transform the game in ways the devs never even dreamed of and the game is 10x better because of it.

The day i got mass effect 2, i used the save game editor to give me enough resources to bypass that gawd awful planet scanning waste of time. My Console friend was cursing at me when i told him.

So what's the word on 360 patch? Is it coming at all.

I understand that it has to go through MS certification but I want to know if this is going to be another BS move like DA:O. That game has only been patched to fix issues with achievements, not gameplay.

Xbox 360 versions OUTSELL the PC versions. How about we get some support too?

XBox360 versions outsell PC versions eh? And you know this as fact how?
Are you talking about just retail copies? Because Digital Copies for PC games have quickly taken over as the prefered method of aquiring a new game with the proliferation of Broad Band connections. Numbers of copies sold through digital distribution aren't as easily obtained as looking for retail sales numbers are.

Only EA can present total units sold via all channels of distribution and they have yet to post that report. Shouldn't be long though, I'm sure EA share holders are due for a brief soon, we are nearing end of 1Q .

I want to, but I can't afford one. I don't have any computer at all actually, bought my 360 with some money I had saved up but times are tight. Hell, ME2 is the only game I've bought in months.

I understand many gamers have the choice, and some choose the 360 version over the PC (), but I don't have any choice but the 360 and won't for some time.

I was hoping for a fix to the walk and run animations for Shepard. So bad to see him/her walk like Frankenstein's monster. It's even worse for Female Shepard because it's incredibly pronounced. Also would like to point out the stutter step that occurs when walking. I don't remember seeing it there when running.

But most of the time mods are just cheats in clever disguise. Or nudity mods. Neither of which is a benefit to the game and certainly not something a developer should dream up themselves. Unless they're 15.

Anyways, it's always nice with a patch that solves none of the issues most frequently reported and a lot that's never been heard of. But I guess they're harder to fix and will be available later (I.e. Mass Effect 3).

Lol @ people waiting for a helmet toggle 'fix', considering the point of a patch is to fix broken issues, not actually alter intended gameplay mechanics. You might as well ask Bioware to patch out scanning and thermal clips (which people have laughably done).

I think I'll skip this one for now. Doesn't fix any issues I have and I have none of the issues it fixes.

I still experience heavy graphical distortion during the last stage of Garrus' loyalty mission (sniper section), using Ati HD4770 521DDR5, regardless of driver version of Catalyst CC settings for Mass Effect 2.

I personally was hoping for optimized controls for PC (such as using the keyboard in menus and double clicking), but I guess that'd take awhile to do.

Still, good job on the patch, though I haven't gotten any of the issues. :]

Hah, yeah the Tactical HUD has been upgraded nicely over ME1 (apart from the occasional broken pointer/drag point) but others like mouse scrolling, double clicking, ME1 menu & weapon hotkeys, the big menus, keyboard controls etc.. are worse or removed compared to ME1.
I doubt that it's a priority and I don't know if they'd ever spend the Zots on that stuff for future patches.

Nice to see the patch and bonus content rolling out though, Cheers BioWare.

Helmets hiding faces cause immersion breaking situations. These are bugs, end of story. If those things were intended then the designers must have been on drugs.

That attitude is so 1990's.

@banshee768: Sorry to say this but it seems you never played a good game modification. Too bad. Go to moddb.com, you'll definitely change you're opinion about mods.

On: What about the fact that the game gets stuck in the planet scanner screen, from time to time?! The stuff this patch fixes are, mostly, small loose ends. That's all. I hope a second patch comes, a better one, as soon as possible.

Good first patch. Technical issues first. Next patch we can hope for the climbing issue and maybe the helmets.

And please don't turn this into another 360 vs PC thread. You consolers wait paitently for your patch and we shut up. And if you think it's unfair that we get the patch first then let me tell you how often we waited for certain games on the PC.
