Why?

Sorry if that sounded snobbish but I have heard some people say that they find the new cast boring, unlikeable, shallow, and so on. 

I know it would be time consuming, but could someone of this opinion to a breakdown of each ME2 character that explains their feelings in this manner specifically?  I'm genuinely curious.

I loved them. Even Jack whom I decided I hated before the game came out I ended up liking somewhat, even though she was still my least favorite character.



Favorites out of the new ones were Grunt, Thane, Samara, and Legion.

i have the same problem, if you hate the character so much go play with the ones you liked.



i think it is because some people have played ME1 so much they cant see anything else anymore.

there so into it even tough both games has unlikable and likable characters.

I don't think anyone has said that they find the entire crew to be boring, it's just that when you have 11 possible squad mates you are going to find ones that you like and ones you don't. Personally I really like Mordin, Samara, and Grunt (st least someone knows they should be wearing armor), but I don't really care for Suze, Thane, or Jacob. It's just personal opinion.

I have nothing against the characters, they are all have a good backstory and are each a diverse member to the team. They still have flaws that mostly come in the graphical department, such as Jacob's apparent lack of gums.

I think the only squad mate I actually hated was Ashley. She's killable though so it's all good.



There were plenty of NPCs I hated of course like Harkin but they were meant to be unlikable.

I'm kind of a sucker for the more outlandish or downright peculiar kinds of characters, so I really ended up liking Legion, Mordin, and Grunt (who I actually found far more endearing than Wrex).



I liked Garrus and Tali, but they were both more monotone than the aforementioned ones. Plus, they were in ME.



I know that alot of people say Jack is really deep and such, but I still didn't like her. Nor did I much care for Jacob, or Miranda for that matter. Samara was somewhat bland as well.



I didn't like talking to Thane at all...

In the comments there is one in particular person who hates the entire squad, I wont call him out by name but you can find him. Othere than that, I have seen all characters genuinely disliked by varying people, some only hate a couple, so I'd like to hear from them too.



Just for the record, I love pretty much all the ME2 characters.

That's exactly what I think about the ME1 crew, and the exact opposite for the ME2 crew

I adore all the characters. I have my favorites, but they're not my favorites at the expense of the other characters.
