Ok so everyone is complaining on these fourms about stuff being left out in awakening:
no romances
no dlc equipment
losing party members
   People if bioware left out these things there must be a reason. First, romances and sex, are you serious people you are complaining about not getting to have sex on the expansion you must have a problem if you need sex in a videogame. Second, if theres no holding on to dlc items we must be getting new equipment thats better. Finally party members, we are keeping an old favorite and IT HAS NOT BEEN DECLARED AS OGRHEN SO BE QUIET. Also we are getting 6 or 7 total why are you complaining you get new ones and life goes on . So stop whining about these features and just prove you're good at the game by overcoming the setbacks.

Really, I thought it was all purely technical.

Sight

It's help with immersion and   make you feel connected with your character.That what make RPG fun and immersive.The same could be said about any movies or story.It's would be like ... a new actor for the main role in a sequel  .. Like Gandalf being played by a different actor  .  Player want an explanation why  the lover of the main protagonist ain't with him or close or what the hell his/her love do and why she/his away.Just doing the whole *it's your old life* .. seem cheesy  for  a rich story like Dragon age.You're reading and creating your own hero path.it's not about sex and boob and ****** to some pixel .

We paid for these item.But well i don't care much either .Because i can use them in dragon age origins.


I have absoluly no problem getting new compagion.I understand they have better stuff to do (Story wise) and got their own destiny.But it's would be fun for them to have at least cameo appearance and a little bit of information of the whatnot of their doing.

The reason that the choices that were made were made?



It's the old Hollywood syndrome - a writer comes into a room filled with producers sitting around the table. The first producer takes the idea as presented and lifts his leg on it, maybe chaging a few story elements, the gender/race/age/orientation of the lead character, and so forth, then passes it to the next one. The next one does the same, and passes it along, and so on, until they are all satisfied that it is the way it should be.



Similarly, Origins came into the room, the next person in line, Rodent, or whatever his name is, lifts his leg, and romance is gone, Leliana is gone, Oghran is in, the warden is Orlesian, and on, and on.
