I tried using the search but the only result it ever returns is a yellow bar below the selection options.
So, to reiterate the question in the subject:
Is it possible to patch the game to eliminate the disc swapping for XBOX360 owners that have installed both discs to their hard drives?
If it isn't possible to remove this, what is the reason? Is it part of the 360's anti-piracy checks requiring the original disc to be present?
Since the game can actually be launched directly from disc 2, is it too deeply embedded in the game's code to easily change? Does it actually call a different executable once you move to disc 2 that necessitates the swap for DRM/validation reasons?
Just looking for a decent answer to this question, and possible insight into why I have to pop the discs in & out all the time due to different careers, going back to previous N7 missions after the final fight, etc. It does get a little old after a while, to be honest...
Thanks for the hard work on the great game & looking forward to any information on this topic from BioWare.
BioWare: Possible to eliminate disc swapping on full install to 360 HDD?

It's a microsoft requirement, and no there's nothing to be done about that.Sorry. We tried to get the fewest disc swaps possible. I'm glad you like the game. It's always nice to hear people appreciate it.

While I realize that it's too late to change the disc swapping setup, would it have been possible to tie ME2 installs with a Cerberus code from retail boxes (not with the buyable access) only? It seems like it would have stopped all types of disc sharing and such.

Kim,
Thanks for the prompt reply on this.
Hopefully Microsoft can be pointed to the real world commentary from your userbase regarding the frustation disc swaps cause those of us using the hard drive installation method & eliminate the requirement for them in the future.
I can understand needing at least one disc in the drive to validate ownership of the game in question, but requiring the other discs to continue playing seems to be punishing the customer. Making it so that only one disc can launch the game & pass the validation check in the future would probably be a good way to go. That would prevent lost sales due to disc sharing & allow hard drive installations for the larger games to remove one source of frustration.
Obviously, this is all my own personal preference & opinion, but I do think it would be nice to have in the future since games generally don't tend to get smaller as a console gets further into its lifecycle & dev teams learn how to get more out of them.
Now I'm gonna go back to getting Mass Effect 2 out of my system so I can totally focus on the Dragon Age expansion when it comes out soon.
