Hey, this is a British complaint! Get your own! :P

I don't really care about the VAT, exchange rate and so on. I think it should be valued to our currency anyway. For example Stone prisoner is by no means worth £11 in the UK imo... ¬_¬

Wardens Keep is £4.76, The Stone Prisoner, which you should get free anyway, is £6.80.

The extra price in just about everything compared to the US is due to several different things, including plain "asking for more because we can". In most electronics products vat of course plays a part, around 20% or so increase to the us price. Then there's the logistics and localization costs. In a digital download there's no logistics, but localizing still exists. I blame central europe for wanting everything dubbed and translated to their own language. This is a big development cost, and it's most likely added to EU prices. The rest of the extra cost is simply due to market situation, how much are the customers willing to pay? Sadly in Europe it seems to be a lot more than in US. The publishers aren't doing this for charity, they take money where they can. Also prices tend to be unified in digital downloads like these so you'll have to suck it up because some other country has higher taxes/localization costs.

I bet that the moment USD:EURO ratio goes up they will make a change to the price.
When 1 USD > 1 euro prices go up, but in reverse they stay the same.
It's nothing new sadly. (Steam stopped being interesting a while back, now their prices are higher than retail.)

The localization argument opens up another option: Make the English only version cheaper, while charging more for multi language.

What confuses me is that you can receive achievements and trophies with PC, xbox, or ps3 systems and the rewards are different depending on the system. With PC you get a title, with PS3 you get a trophy, with xbox you get gamerscore points awarded.

Strictly speaking, in 360 you get an achievement which is worth a number of gamerscore points. Those points are completely useless except as a means of comparing yourself to other 360 gamers. A "trophy" is just Sony's name for the same idea after they copied it (just as a 360 "avatar" is a made up name for a Mii).
