Lets see here if we're using my canon shep.....



I'd choose:

Jack- because her life has been ****ed up enough as it is.

Tali- she became my love interest and I don't want to see her hurt.

Ashley- my former love interest, still don't want to see her die.

Grunt- after being named heir to clan Urdnot by Wrex himself

Legion- I feel he's necessary to make peace between the quarians and geth, and I want to be able to make Rael'Zorah's promise to Tali come true.



and since this is my canon Shep I'd be giving orders to Jacob leaving him in charge of any escape attempt, as I shove him in the escape pod taking my place.



Meanwhile, me and Mordin (I'm a mechanic/engineer) desperately try to save the ship. While Wrex and Zaaed start trying to improvise an escape pod.



Samara, Liara, Miranda and Thane can do whatever they want though....I didn't really care to much for any of them. (Okay I feel kind of bad for Thane so if I do get a new improvised pod together he can join in there, possibly Kasumi too depending on what she is like).

Let's see.
No particular order.

Jacob - A nice guy, has not done anything morally wrong that I know of. A nice friend to count on if you're in trouble.
Tali - Young, also has not done anything morally wrong.
Miranda - She's done things I disagree with, but I do feel some empathy for her.
Garrus - We need someone to right the wrongs in the galaxy.
Samara - We need someoe to right the wrongs in the galaxy.

Possibly switch out Mordin for someone as his genius is useful.

Only 5? Thats a difficult choice because I like most of my squad mates, but if I really had to choose, guess I'd save those:

1. Liara
2. Jack
3. Garrus
4. Ash
5. Tali

Ok, now that also includes ME1 Squaddies. If only the ME2 count i'd change Liara and Ash for Samara and Miranda.

And EDI would somehow manage to save the rest of my crew (well, that seems unlikely if we only have room for 5 in the escape pod. They can escape using the Hammerhead...ok, thats an abstruse idea...)

It's a very difficult choice, because I like almost every character in ME2.



But, If I had to choose...



- Tali (Love Interest, quarian genious, an obvious one).

- Garrus (my pal, good old friend)

- Legion (the only plattform with the ability to comunicate with me. Also, It has my N7 armor, that's a more human/organic thing).

- Samara, as a Justicar I respect and like her. She also ends his main mission, so I want her to get the chance to "live" a little more.

- Difficult one, but I think I'm going with Grunt. He is young, strong, perfect Krogan. He may be the future of clan Urdnot once Wrex is gone.



Note that for me Wrex stays on Tuchanka, Ash and Kaiden can both be nuked without any problem and Liara is just not as powerful as Samara for me, so I let her work on Illium.



I wouldn't save Thane or Mordin not because I don't like them (I love them), but because they all have little more to live themselves.



Miranda, Jack and Jacob rulez, but I prefer the others. Zaeed... sorry.

Though I don't like his loyalty mission (or it's the one I like the least), he as a character's cool.

But there are 9 other squaddies that are superior for me.
