I am playing a Vanguard my 2cd time through; My problem is that i can't open the safe with Wrex's family armor because my decryption skill is too low. this has also happened on various crates and at debris sites. I am also getting that my electronics skill is too low at times. Any help or hope for a Vanguard?

Yeah. Rack up the points for decryption/engineering/hacking whatever the skills are called on an engineer/infiltrator and as long as he or she is in your party you'll be able to open stuff just fine.

If you want to be sure you can open everything, take Kaiden, Tali, or Garrus. Make sure that they have 9 points in decryption and electronics.
