Also, I wouldn't mind a Vorcha squadmate.  Vorchas were portrayed as mindless animals in Mass Effect 2.  I think having one as a squadmate could be a chance to show them in a more sympathetic light and prove that not all Vorcha are that bad.
I'm thinking the Vorcha squadmate could be a little bit like Thane.  He believes that the Vorcha have forgotten the way of their ancestors and that much of their history has been forgotten.  He joins Shepard because he believes it's his chance to show the galaxy that Vorcha have a larger role to play than just as cannon fodder for the Blood Pack.

First of all, thank you. I needed a good laugh.

Second, read this: http://masseffect.wi...com/wiki/Vorcha

I don't see how that makes the Vorcha idea less plausible.  Besides it's not like all of the lore for the Vorcha have been exhausted and there isn't any room to develop them further as a race.
I didn't think a Geth squadmate could work, but Bioware handled it well.  Why not a Vorcha squadmate?

Geth worked because Legion isn't your "everyday" geth, and with a synthetic race that's easy to work around. Especially since geth get more intelligent when they're in larger numbers.

Vorcha are built around combat, they're aggressive, they communicate through violence, etc. They're ancestors were never any different then the vorcha today, so what would one have to prove against?

A vorcha squadmate would be awesome, but it's highly unlikely imo. If you really think the vorcha are or have been anything other than brutal savages then......well good for you. But you're trying to suggest something that in no way will ever happen.

Vorcha being built around combat could be a great incentive for a Vorcha joining Shepard as I'm sure there will be plenty of nasty foes awaiting Shepard in Mass Effect 3.  Wanting to fight strong opponents was part of Grunt's motivation as well.
I think Shepard could see the value of having a fearless, primitive, and highly skilled Vorcha warrior on his team and since Vorcha enjoy fighting, the relationship could be mutual and even develop into respect.

Oh yeah, I can see it now...

Shepard: "Vorcha, we want the same goal, to fight. Will you join me?"

Vorcha: *punches Shepard in the face then rips his arms off*

You're totally right, that would work.

Id really like to see a non humanoid squadmate. Hanar or Elcor. Something that requires a completely original mesh and animation set.

As long as it's not a batarian, I'd be fine. Damn terrorists.

Batarian, ME2 proved to us that not all of them are criminals, murderers, mercenaries, slavers and drug dealers. I want a Paragon Batarian and one that wants to work with Shepard to prove that his species want to change and are willing to help the galaxy.

lol, But aren't vorcha mindless animals? Granted they're slightly sapient, but I don't think they have the mental faculties yet to even compare to the other races

So, javier, being a mindless fanboy/drone for Bioware paid off for ya? Next thing you know, you will be sucking off the higher-ups at EA soon enough...

I don't feel ME2 proved that at all. There was ONE batarian that wasn't a complete ass, and that was Marsh the merchant.

Whooooa...Slow down the hate there, fella. javier earned the moderator spot by being an asset to the entire community, I presume. He was easily the hardest working fan on the old forums, providing advanced links and archives of ME2 info before the game released.

Volus teammate. He'd be like the quintessential gnome bard; comedy relief, cannon fodder, and general annoyance.

If batarian squadmate is added, I'd like the option to not recruit him if I get the chance.

Batarians killed my parents and enslaved my colony, and then I fought a crapton of them off at Elysium. Squadmate? Yeah, one I will intentionally get killed.

Well, to be fair, we also thought all Geth wanted to kill all organic life ;D

But yeah, a Batarian or Vorcha squaddie would be pretty badass. I think most people would want to see a Fem Turian squaddie, though.

I think I would agree to a Turian Female squadmate too. Make her romanceable too, Turians are my favorite.

Volus biotic god of course. About time  one of them gets to strut their stuff. Perhaps an Elcor navigator on the Normondy.

I'd support that, same for a batarian, I mean, if Archangel can have one on his team, there are no reasons Sheppy can.

Hanar: I was actually disapointed about not having any interactions with Hanars in ME2,  so yea, BW has to make up for that in ME 3 huh? Image IPB

As for the Elcor, the only thing I'd be worried about would be the fact that having a squadmate with the firepower of a tank on my team would make him "slightly" overpowered. Also the fact that they do seem to be real slow. Can't imagine one trying to follow Shepard during a whole level.

For the volus, I do believe it would not feel "correct" to have one feeling at your side. Well... they always seemed to me to be the kind of race that would always get picked last in Phys ed class. Although, perhaps as engineering crew for the Normandy...

Also, I hope BW is going to create another race like they did with the drell. I mean, they've done it in ME2, no reason they can't do it in ME3 (or in a DLC).  I don't know why, but I'd really like to have an Arthropod fighting for Shepard. Somehow, since BW made a geth squadmate, I have the feeling we might be getting a collector in ME 3 (just a gut feeling though) Who knows, maybe the death of the Collector general in ME 2 (and it's release by Harbinger) changed something... That might simply be wishful thinking though.Image IPB

An elcor warmachine which you could climb on him and use a turret on his back?

A dumb vorcha to send in front without risking your life?

A Hanar masseur? (for the perverted ladies)

A volus sprinter?

A three eyed Batarian?

A Varren pet?

but the best would be a Thresher Maws. With that thing no more problem, He kill everyone in one shot!

Yes, I actually love the Batarians. A mate would be great in DLC even. No need for ANOTHER human. Just put a cool ass Batarian instead

Bioware, give us a Batarian, volus, and maybe hanar/elcor and I shall kiss your invisible feet
