I'd have a Batarian on the team, It would be good to learn about their race
Out of all the races that haven't been used for a squadmate...

This. I want a section where I play as just Blasto - probably saving Shepard's arse.

Vorcha are pests.
Volus are balloons
Elchor would be bad ass
If you let him live, I'd say Kal'Reegar
Batarian would be cool. Especially depending on the background choice of Shepard you chose in ME1.

How about a whole Vorcha clan, you could go in the cargo section and ritually beat them before each mission, send them to their death and have them get replaced by another one with the "Bring in Cannon Fodder reinforcements" action.MajorStranger wrote...

I am so ashamed that I had forgotten about them. Would be hard to communicate with them while on the ship, though.

I always liked that Batarian in the ark angel mission. The one who is the mechanic fixing the battle ship. He seemed less of an ass than the rest of the Batarians. too bad i always decide to pick the renegade option.
Rachni for the win.

You should be able to get a Vorcha squadmate who squats somewhere on the lower decks ala Jack, but as the game progresses, other crewmates start complaining about vorcha in the food supplies or ransacking their quarters, until it turns out you actually have like 20 vorcha infesting your ship that the first one let on later. Or he (or she) just kept breeding. It'd be like the little rodent lizards that infect your ship in KOTOR, except they'd be nasty and eventually turn your ship into one big firefight.

How bout a Volus holding a space Hamster that shoots laser beams when maniacally and furiously stroked by said Volus? would that do?

Yes, it was intentional.

Blasto!
Other than that I really want to see a Volus squadmate. *deep breath*Shepard*deep breath*
Oh and I wouldn't be surprised if Bioware found a way to throw in a recruitable Vorcha, genetically modified or something, they could make it work haha.

I hate Batarians so I'm against that idea.
I actually think Elcor would be pretty cool as a sqadmate(not sure what class it would be though)
A Volus biotic woul be pretty awesome(no, I'm not kidding).

volus good choice there, one stray round, boom! dead...
if you read the codex you'll see they joined the turian's because they don't like fighting
to quote it
The volus are not physically cut out for combat, be it a full-scale war or even a bar room scuffle. As such, they are highly dependent on the turians for defense, although the volus themselves do provide some auxiliary troops to the Hierarchy. The volus will support the turians in any war they might pursue, and the turians will support the volus in any war they might pursue.

so yeah volus squaddie... good choice that...

Well, then if they did add a Volus team member, I think I have thought up the perfect name for him:
Kanonn Fadoor!
I absolutely DO NOT want a Batarian, an Elcor or a Vorcha team member. Especially Elcor, because the conversations would take way too long.
