if there are any other grey wardens in amaranthine I wonder if they will ask how the hell both alistair and I survived
Yeah, Alistair says something about just playing stupid. I imagine that is going to be a plot point about it.

Just give the credit to Riordan. The man deserves it.
I still don't understand why he tried to do it alone.. unless I missed a major point there. It just kinda seemed like the cliche type of heroism.

He didn't tried to do it alone...it is just that since he's the eldest of the wardens at that time, priority is to him to slay the Archdemon, if he fails then it is up to the other wardens... he didnt mean to hog the glory...

Was it priority on fighting the Archdemon, or priority on striking the final blow?

It may not matter to the grey wardens since they don't have a problem with blood magic, but if word got out to the rest of Ferelden... well lets just say I doubt they would be as understanding. So its probably best to just keep it between you and Alistair.Cuthlan wrote...
I don't know that it will matter. Alistair is certainly a goody-two-shoes, and he didn't seem bothered when I told him Morrigan saved me.

striking the final blow...u have to realise he didnt mean to not wait for the other wardens when he fought the archdemon. he just come across the opportunity to leap unto the archdemon's back and he did so... i'm sure he would like to have the help of the others while fighting it...
It just seemed risky (to say the least), especially noting that there were only three grey wardens in Ferelden.

Did he really have to jump onto the Dragon at least?
say you're playing say like Bad Company or CoDMW2...some dude is showing his back to you? wouldn't u try to gun him down then (or knife him if u like)... i'm juz saying he just saw the opportunity to kill the archdemon and he took the chance...

I disagree. Everyone would be so happy you saved them from the archdemon that they wouldn't care.atheelogos wrote...

It's because since Riordan's the oldest he doesn't have much time life before he dies, so he may as well die instead of a younger guy.ArcanistLibram wrote...

so I don't really think the Fereldens really care about how their heroes manage to kill the archdemon and survive...but on the other hand, how bout the other Grey Wardens? I'm sure they wouldnt like to hear about a god-powered baby being raised somewhere in Thedas lol

I thought no one outside the Grey Warden know about the 30 years taint or the Archdemon can be only be killed by a Grey Warden? or am I wrong?...

Morrigan knew, but she was Flemeth's daughter, so that's not really surprising. Other than her, there's no way they would know. Junior grey wardens aren't even told until they've been grey wardens for some time, which was shown by when the PC and Alistair have their chat with Riordan, the night before the final battle.
As for them caring or not, do they really need to know how it happened? We have established that they'd have no idea how it worked, so therefore, I don't think they'd appreciate the fact that the ritual involved blood magic. Take, for example, what happened at Soldier's Peak -- the grey wardens lost respect from that.

Yes. xD At the end, when you tell Alistair to tell the Wardens whatever he wants to he says:zaim298 wrote...
wait what? the dark ritual involves blood magic?
"What? That a maleficar saved you and then ran off to have my demon baby? That has a certain ring to it, don't you think? No, I'll just play stupid. It's a talent."

According to her, there's lots of magic that's been forgotten due to the standards of the Chantry and Circle. One of them was Shape-Shifting, so they probably aren't all evil.
