It's also probably more difficult for a female GW to carry a child to term since the child is constantly exposed to the taint so a woman who becomes a GW will probably have to accept basically becoming sterile unless they are a new GW.LadyDamodred wrote...
I don't think the Taint renders GW sterile, either. I think it's more than the presence of the Taint causes conception and carrying a child to term more difficult. GW can have children, it's just more difficult. And the longer one of the parents has had the Taint, the more difficult it is.
And yes, the first time I saw Morrigan and heard her name, I thought of Morgan.
I'm also thinking the amount of time the GW has had the taint also effects sterility of the GW regardless of gender.

I'm not sure this is the case. If you romance Morrigan (and sleep with her at least once) but turn down her offer, then the epilogue still says she was "with child." Well okay, it says it's rumored, but that's as good as.Skadi_the_Evil_Elf wrote...
Some form of magic had to be taking place for the ritual to even work on the basic level. For Morrigan to concieve, which was the whole point of the ritual, something had to bypass the tendancy of the Warden involved to shoot blanks. The Taint is a big fertility killer. The ritual happens on that one night, at that moment. It would take magic or some sort of power to get live rounds for the Warden to be able to produce on demand the stuff needed to sire a kid in the first place.

i'm sure if you romanced her, you'll be having lots of tent times while traveling together. The epilogue stated that she was rumored to be the Warden's lover, and may carry his child. But if you opted not to do the Dark Ritual there's no way the baby is Old-God powered one.

I agree, it's definitely (probably) not the God-baby, but the post I was quoting said that the ritual would have been required to conceive, period.zaim298 wrote...
