Nice to have a firm release date but... 2,5 more weeks now that the approval cycle is complete?! Is this an attempt to target the elusive Easter market?

The important point about this post is that Awakening will be out on PS3 at the same time as xbox and pc.....that's a lot more important than the news about a 1 hour dlc pack, and brings hope for future Bioware releases coming out at the same time...

if rto pass the sony certification, maybe they should release it more earlier, why we must wait march 11, 1 week before awakening.. it must be release this coming thursday... it almost 2 months of waiting until now.. and also rto items cannot be use in awakening.. they should release it earlier, because when awakening release, rto will be forgotten, and it will be useless. so much paid for a 30 min to 1 hour dlc..

And I guess the reason of th delay is like they said, there are going to be changes to it, which is what the update is needed for. So I'm guessing that there was a bigger issue with the content on the PS3 than on 360 and PC. So they must still be working on fixing it.

I'm gonna stick with my theory that the guy at Bioware who was supposed to mail it in just sat on it by accident and only realized to late he had not sent it in on the release date for the 360/PC versions

atleast we have official date of release coming from bioware.... but why it is not released much earlier, why still need to wait march 11 if it is already passed the sony certification? why not this coming thursday psn update or maybe tomorrow? still need to wait 2 weeks just to have a 30 min to 1 hour add on game. bioware and sony must release it much earlier than march 11, while ps3 user's focused are still in rto, while we have much plenty of time to play and enjoyed rto. because when awakening is released, more people will know focused, buying, and playing awakening, and eventually rto will be forgotten. and also many ps3 user's will thing if buying rto is still worth it? because any armor or items that can be looted or even cailan's armor cannot be carried if we loaded it to awakening... too much to wait, lest time to played. hope to release it much earlier so ps3 user's will have more time and enjoyed the game...

I'm not sure that loot carry over matters that much. I'd bet that within a couple of hours of playing Awakening the standard loot that drops will be better than anything in the original game, as it will be anything from 1-10 levels higher (maybe 1-2 tiers higher) etc.

Nope. The stuff from RTO is not going with you to Awakening. Which has a lot of people upset.

BioWare have also turned around and said they are going to try to release a patch at some point (either with Awakening or after) that will allow the DLC items to carry through.
Why should the items not carrying through be of any significance to purchasing it? You get the items for that playthrough of Origins, and they'll be replaced somewhat quickly during Awakening regardless of whether they're DLC or in the base game

Lol! Epic, truly epic fail BioWare. So glad I'm not getting RTO. It was a waste anyway, there was absolutely no story, the cut scenes were from Origins, and you don't even get to keep the gear. Plus, you have to wait 6 weeks after everyone else: priceless.

They have said that the content is out of certification. They cannot fix or alter anything of it now, so I don't think they are working on it. The March 11th date must be a business not technical decision. The title update is the same patch that was released on 360 RTO and was scheduled to release with ps3 RTO, nothing new. It wasn't working properly so they had to fix that, but it must be finished to be out of certification

So, the xbox version of RtO with its patch gets passed by MS, and it hits Live the next day, or two days later... something like that.

The PS3 version gets passed by Sony, and it hits the Playstation store... 2 and a half weeks later, with its patch and DLC split up?



It's nice to get news, but I'm calling shenanigans on the whole party line of the past two months saying that everything has been in with Sony certification, awaiting approval.

I'm a grown up. I can handle delays.

I frown upon being misled, or just flat out lied to.

The only thing that might make sense is the content got bounced from Sony cert once or twice and had to be reworked. If that did happen, I believe that is something people waiting for the content had the right to know.

rto and the patch must release earlier, because ff13 is on march 9, think of possibility that bacause of too much waiting, people are tired of expectations... and i think ff13, since it is first for ps3, it will a big hit and expecting to be a good game or maybe game of the year.... possibility that rto will be forgotten and also awakening will not be as good as the origins in terms of demand beacuse of game rivalry, specially when final fantasy 13, god of war and resonance of fate will be hitting our console this coming march... so ask bioware or sony to release the patch and rto much earlier, hopefully this coming thursday. we all know it is already finish. they delaying it for bussiness. just release it much earlier....
