Just beat Mass Effect 2 under 80 hours of game play.
Was wondering if anybody could help me, I am wondering do you HAVE to be a FULL paragon to get the elusive "No-one Left Behind" Achievement???? I took 2 casualties in my suicide mission.
thx !

To my knowledge, you don't need to be a full Renegade, or Paragon.
Your casualties depends on
1) Upgrades (get them all, shields, guns, armor)
2) Loyalty (obtain it, keep it...paragon or Ren plays a role in this)
3) Your choices: Choose a valid tech expert to go into the vent (Legion, Tali). Choose a valid team member with squad leadership experience to lead the fire teams (Miranda, Garrus). Poor choices here will lead to the tech dying (ie: choosing a bad fire team leader to cover the tech will still get the tech killed, even if they are a good tech).
Mordin sometimes finds a way to die on you, so using him to escort your crew back is also a little thing you can try.

I don't think so. I wasn't. I just made sure all party members were loyal; and had most if not all the upgrades. No Casualties for me
It might also depend on who you made your second team leader and who you made your "specialists". For example.. i read alot about ppl having trouble with Mordin dying on all their playthroughs. The way to get around that was to apparently send him to escort your crew back to the Normandy/Shuttle...
And I was a lil too late posting.. But yeah what the guy above me said

This is what I heared from other people on the forums an it worked for me when I tried it. First, make sure everyone is loyal, be sure to upgrade the Normandy as much as possible (people WILL die if you don't, even if there loyal) and after that, it all depends on who you decide to do what in the final mission.
Tech Specialist (person in the tube) - Tali or legion (I did Legion)
Fire team Leader - Miranda, Jacob, or Garrus (I did Garrus)
Crew Escort - Anyone (I did Grunt)
Biotic - Jack or Samara (I did Jack)
2nd Fire team - Miranda, Jacob, or Garrus (I did Garrus again)
I did it as I just said for my last run and everyone lived. I have not tested this with non-loyal team members as of yet. In my first playthrough, I completely upgraded the ship, got a few upgrades for myself and team (not all) and had Tali go in the tube and she died because I had Samara lead the 1st fire team. Later Zaeed died because I had him lead the 2nd fire team but everyone else lived. I also don't know if gathering upgrades for your team directly means death if you don't get them all but I do know they help durring normal missions (duh).

YES. I am very thorough in my gameplay
Did anybody buy from Illium? I found their prices just outrageous; I think I missed like 2 squad upgrades upon my first playthrough.

This is off-topic a little, but is there only 1 paramour ending or a possible 3?

I have never once lost anyone, so long you use your brain
Fire Team Lead: Miranda & Garrus & Jacob only
Pipe Team: Tali or Legion Only
Shield Team: Samara(Morinth) or Jack only
Escort Crew Back: Doesnt matter, just send someone
When you start up the final fight, don't say: We have to Hurry(you raise the odds of someone dying)
Make sure everyone is loyal
Make sure your ship has major upgrades needed, Armor, Shields, Guns.
I now how 5 play throughs(playing every class in ME1, porting em over to 2 & playing), I have never once lost anyone yet, with this setup, ever.
1st playthrough, I sent Grunt Back, had Garrus lead both fire teams, Tali in the Pipe, Jack Shields. I took Miranda & Samara for final fight
2nd playthrough, I sent Grunt back, had Garrus lead both fire teams, Legion in the Pipe, Samara shields. I took Garrus & Zaeed for final fight
3rd Playthrough, I sent Jacob back, had Garrus lead both fire teams, Tali in the Pipe, Samara shields. I took Miranda & Legion for Final Fight.
4th Playthrough, I sent Jacob back, had Garrus lead team 1 & Miranda lead team 2, Legion in the Pipe, Jack on Shields. I took Mordin & Morinth for final fight
5th Playthrough, I sent Tali back, had Miranda lead team 1, Garrus lead team 2, Legion in the Pipe, Jack on Shields. I took Legion & Zaeed for final fight.
No one has died yet & crew has survived 100%

I did the suicide mission with only 1 loyal (Zaeed) and 1 ship upgrade (armor), at the end, there were only 2 survivors Zaeed and Jack. now that' a real suicide mission
I will go back and redo the missing loyal missions and get my usual 100% completion and keep everyone alive. on my next 6th playthrough, I will do no loyalty and ship upgrade first to see what happens if you entire team die for the first time.

3 things:
1) Loyalty, very important. Without this, dun even talk about who you send for what role.
2) Normandy upgrades. 3 of them, Shields (Tali), Armor (Jacob), Cannons (Garrus)
3) Who you send for each role. I revise my stand on this. I didn't think it was that important last time but now I do think it is. Basically, fire team leaders, pick those with leadership qualities. Miranda, Jacob etc. Zaeed, Grunt all these are out. Tech and Biotic specialist, just pick a loyal one. Lastly, the team holding the line while you go deal with the final boss has to consist of mainly AR users, which includes Garrus, Zaeed, Grunt, Samara. Try not to suck more than 1 out of these 4. I have tested this AR theory before and the previously dead member survived when I switch in all the AR users to hold the line.

Is there a paramour with: samara/morinith & tali?

Posté 23 février 2010 - 08:44
You can ask Samara about if but she will say she is done with that part of her life.
Morinth, you can technically....but you die.
You can indeed with Tali.

AHA, lol I think that comes during the end of Samara's loyalty mission? I tried asking Moronith, but she ends... now's not the time; unless I REALLY need to sever connections with Miranda.

Yes, like any other relationship you pretty much need to do the loyalty first.
I am not certain if you can only get the Morinth reaction after the game is done or not, I have only seen vids of it.

You only need to get 4 people loyal if you choose the right ones.
Upgrade the armour/guns/shields of the ship as well obviously.
Then you get a loyal Miranda/Jacob a loyal Tali, a loyal Jack and a loyal Mordin.
Get Miranda/Jacob to lead the fire team, Tali to go in the vent and Jack to be the biotic. Take Mordin + other loyal squad mate with you. Send Tali back to escort the crew.
Then take Mordin and Jack with you to fight the terminator.
Technically that should let you get 100% survival rate

I wonder if it is possible to finish the mission with nobody loyal, have one survivor, and have that survivor be Zaeed. The first thing you could do after the mission is Zaeed's loyalty mission... and leave him behind.
