If a vanguard and an infiltrator fought, the vanguard would win unless the infiltrator managed to oneshot the vanguard with a sniper before the vanguard noticed him.
As for your actual question: Vanguards are harder to play but more rewarding, while infiltrators are easier to play and potentially less rewarding. It's an issue of challenge.

Vanguard for speed and intensity, Infiltrators for precision and caution.
Both are easy. This entire game is easy.

Maybe not for you, but for me and others, yes, it was easy.

Oh yea, it was totally easy for me as well, I played it on instanity with two fingers whilst blind-folded and gagged on Windows 95. I'm so 1337, if you think this game was hard you must suck hurr hurr.

I don't quite get the question the OP is putting forward. What about Vanguard and Infiltrator? They're two wildly differently classes. One is in your face and the other is looming in the shadows.
If you're asking which is more fun, I go with Vanguard. If you're asking which is easier on insanity, I go with Infiltrator. The fun part is really up for interpretation, but the ease on insanity isn't. No matter what anyone says, Vanguard on insanity takes quite a bit of skill and patience.

Go Soldier, you can be both.

Depends on your playstyle. If you like hanging back and sniping, Infiltrator. If you like charging (literally) directly into close-range quick-reaction action, Vanguard.

Lack of Charge or Tactical Cloak says otherwise.TornadoADV wrote...

Plus, I like Pull and Incinerate.

Well, you can just think you're charging in bullet time or have sniper focus with Adren. Rush.

I loved my infiltrator, i made 2 seperate ones (one got the widow, other chose AR training just for fun) but then again im the type that loves sniping, ive yet to play a vanguard, they look interesting but dont appeal much to me, i tryed a sentinel..yuck hated it, engineer havent bothered, soldier ive done 3 seperate times, adept i havent bothered. Supposedly though (havent tryed it) a start from scratch infiltrator is the best class to use on insanity, but thats what ive heard, i cant prove it

I like infiltrators. Hanging back and sniping is my kind of thing, tactical cloak is very handy, especially in situations where you're surrounded by enimeies and your health is draining fast. Just pop it on, and slip away to a better snipe spot. Can't say much for vanguard. Tried it before infiltrator on insanity and it was very hard. Did a few missions and got stuck on Jacks recruitment mission. Gave up.

I love vanguard and suggest it to everyone, but infiltrator is just plain boring with the starting weapons. I'm hoping it gets more fun once I get the Viper.

Vanguard is a lot of fun to play with if you're aggressive. It's myy personal favorite class. Infiltrator's tend to hang back and line up headshots with the sniper. Some may find it boring, others will love it. It really comes down to personal play style.
