Has anybody else ever wondered how much buying power a credit has in the Mass Effect universe? I'm just asking because some of the monetary rewards you get in the game seem absolutely pitiful. Opold offers you 500 credits for smuggling in contraband material. Sure, it may be an easy task for a Spectre like Shepard, but still, that buys you, what, a toy model of a space ship? (Based on prices in the Citadel Souveniers shop in ME2.) Either that is one freaking expensive toy model, or lots of NPCs in ME must have gotten Shepard confused with a Quarian drifter.
