He held the line well for as long as he could.
No hard feelings at all (Mordin wouldn't approve of them). Congrats for putting up a good fight.

My mind changed, however, when I did his loyalty mission. Not only did we get a look at his internal dialogue and moral conflict, but it seemed to open him up a lot as a character. And, of course, afterwards we get his brilliant moments like him singing "Gilbert & Sullivan," his "sex talk" to Shepard (regardless of what your character is up to in that department), and the nice touch about his nephew.
Plus, his responses as to why he doesn't want to talk to you anymore are definitely the best out of any characters in the game.

I was initially underwhelmed by Mordin, after hearing about how great he was. He seemed funny and quirky, but he seemed kind of one-note at first.

I was prepared to be underwhelmed, too. (And in the beginning, I even found his speech pattern annoying. Oh, to look back on it. Silly Silt.)
But he started winning me over, and then the loyalty mission came along and I was sold. Everything else was icing on the cake.

For such an apparently well-liked character, how is it that the last post in here was nearly a month ago?
We can't knock boots with him, sadly.

Too bad you can't pursue Mordin romantically. He's very talented and quite handsome for a Salarian.

I am currently working on a story, running through a possible story line for ME3. This will be similar to those old 'choose your own adventure' books, where at certain points the reader will be required to make a decision, which will bend the story in a different direction, making the story more personalized to each reader.
For this story I am trying to keep each character as true to their actual character as possible. Unfortunately I am not an expert on every character, and actually I know very little of the behavior/attitudes of many.
The help I require, is that I would appreciate if one, or a few, of you would help me to make sure that I keep Mordin true to his character in this story. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

He also has a wicked sense of humor, as I interpreted his romance advice to Shepard as more about jerking Shepard around with the most uncomfortable sex advice he could manage.
He's pragmatic. Do the job and go home. Make your decisions with logic, not emotion.
While he can multitask, he still will prioritize his projects so that he can give his utmost attention to one at a time.
He's thorough. Before working on the genophage modification, he went through every possible permutation of events for every possible response. He went with the pragmatic decision in the end.
He likes to experience culture. He's very interested in how culture affects the soul.
He's brutal. Like all salarians, you don't announce intentions to act, you simply act. If a Blue Suns merc started with the threats, Mordin wouldn't talk back, just shoot the Blue Sun dead and then display his body as a warning to others.

Right then I was like "HOLY CRAP! Wouldn't it be awesome if we found out in the ME universe that he did, like, a Citadel run of 'Phantom of the Opera' as a more Michael Crawford-style Phantom!!??"
In case you couldn't tell, I was a Drama geek back in school
