I don't get why Mordin doesn't have a big thread.
Pretty much everyone agrees that he's the best ME2 character, yet none of his threads stay on the front page for very long.
Probably because "Pretty much everyone" doesn't agree he's their favorite character? lol

I have yet to see someone say something negative about Mordin.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone say they didn't like him or that he wasn't one of their favorites.

I think that's the reason. Everyone agrees: He's the best. Without disagreement, I guess people can't find much to discuss.77boy84 wrote...

What I can't figure out is why, with all of his awesome and lulzy lines, the thread can't sustain itself on images alone. I myself and not even remotely witty, but I'm surprised I don't see it from other people.

Actually, the devs have said that his age on the ME2 site is not entirely accurate; he's only in his 30s, 50 is merely the human-equivalent. Likewise, Grunt is clearly not actually 22. Hell if I can find it right now, but it was somewhere on the forums, either these or the old ones...anyway, that means he's not quite as elderly as people usually think.
Then they need to get back to their timeline and FIXIT, dammit! It says he's really 50 as things stand. /sadface

Lack of bashing does not mean he's everyone's favorite...

An excellent character all around. Kudos to whomever came up with him.

Might also just be that the other threads didn't have that attention grabber first page with links and pics etc. that announces "this is the fan thread, post here or be not a fan!"... I'll out myself, that's why I never did much more than look over them a bit. I guess I just love pics and links
Btw, siltsonata... I posted this over at the other/old Mordin thread type thing also, but I mentioned this link on the fav. char. list sticky thread already before seeing over there that you were waiting to see how this goes... Sowwy

It's fine. If this thread gets past 5 pages, then I imagine AM50 will replace the old one and that will be that. If not, then this thread goes down with all of it's predecessors into the bottom of the thread, and I will give up on a Mordin thread and have to resort to talking about how much I love him with my friend who does not play Mass Effect, which is very sad and less fulfilling. (Although Even she agrees, without playing the game at all, that Mordin is made of awesome. One of the great things about him: You can share the things he says out of context and they're still hilarious.)

Heh, you're lucky... I lose my friends who don't play either at the point they realize I'm talking about a game or the point they realize I'm talking about an alien or (for the few who are really determined to try and share) when I have to explain that it's an alien talking to a human about spending "quality time" with another alien... Then again, my friends who don't play also only listen to classical music and watch documentaries, so I guess I'm just expecting too much

This is the same friend who tries her best to understand my Garrus obsession, but that's less successful.Nightfire78 wrote...

Maybe that's the reason she likes it when I share Mordin things with her instead: because she'd rather hear about the awesome Sherlock-Holmes-meets-Clint-Eastwood-meets-gecko-meets-best-thing-ever doctor than how much I love the bird-dinosaur cowboy cop.:innocent:

Anyhoo, does anyone else ever want to ask Mordin if he's ever been "selected" for salarian breeding purposes (You know the whole bartering family lineages for a match so some eggs can get fertilized bit). I always wonder, but he only mentions a nephew... You'd think they'd want to put the epitomy of "scientist salarian" into their gene pool... but maybe his brother/sister is "close enough" and has more time on his/her hands and so it's all about the nephews and nieces
