He mentions a favourite nephew, but no mention of any off-spring himself. Considering Salarians negotiate contracts for breeding or something (that bachelor party on Illium conversation), I wonder why Mordin doesn't seem to have any off-spring himself. Hm....

It is likely that Mordin has daughters on a Salarian colony. He mentions his fertility contract negotiations in his "Talk To..." node on Illium.

Speaking of whom, which is your
favourite phrase by Mordin? My favourite, without a doubt, is "I am the
very model of a scientist Salarian". Now that was funny.

It's a shame that BioWare left a lot of awesome battle quotes out. My personal favorite not included in the game has to be "Krogan. Two nervous systems, no brains.", though.

Oh, right. I rarely have Mordin with me just wandering around Illium, have to check that out some time.

And we also know that Mordin is quite the showman as well. Another Francis Kitt production in the ME universe. Not connected up to 360 at the mo, but Hamlet was it?

And also, before launching into the "I am the very model of a scientist Salarian..." you'll also need Mordin's trademarked deep breath inhale.

I had a mega scream fit when I saw he partook in Iolanthe, per his dossier. The good kind of fit, because I remember writing in some possibly junked writing -from months ago- of mine that my Shepard asked if he knew of that particular G&S musical.

It's totally coincidence, but a good one none the less. =>

And I'm totally excited for the Mordin action figure too! It looks really awesome so far.

Yeah. Sometimes action figures don't look that good. Mordin's looks faithful, and so does Legion's as well. The others...nor so much. Might have to start saving up...

Oh, here's a thought. Given that Shakespeare seems to have made it beyond Earth and out into the galactic community, and Mordin participates in such productions; what role would you like to see Mordin in?

Heck, let's throw the question out wider: what acting role would you like to see Mordin in? Or musical for that matter. For example, replacing Robert De Niro in 'Taxi Driver'. :P

I can see Mordin performing more Gilbert and Sullivan but I think he'd be great as The Phantom. Also, would like to see him doing some Shakespeare, perhaps... Macbeth or possibly even King Lear. I think he could do serious as well as musicals.

Mordin is multi-talented, so why should we restrict him?

I have got it in my head with the thought of Mordin as Dirty Harry though....

Mordin in Coronation Street or in Eastenders. That would be funny. Mordin "Get outta my clinic and don't come back here looking for free medicine!" classic! Don't honestly think you can restrict Mordin, when he gets an idea he seems to see it through unless he has a better one. Take the genophage, he wanted to see that it not be altered but you can convince him it was wrong in the first place in which case he believes it's better to help the krogan and takes the data.

If we're going for soaps....how about Mordin becoming the new pub landlord after the Queen Vic gets rebuilt?

Now that I would love to see! Mordin shouting get out of my pub! Now that would be great. Perhaps he could even give a lecture to Phil. "Drugs, not good. Can cause damage to psychology and possinly physically... if fall over whilst high. Recommend not taking, possibly rehabilitation centre. Can book you in, have... friend who works there. Good kid, bit naive."

On TV Tropes, I'm seeing Solus's age listed as 38. What's the source of that? Everywhere I've seen has him listed at 30 years old, or confuses salarian years with human years and says he's 50.

So which is it?

That would be something.

As for Mordin's age...I think I asked about that a while back. If I recall, I think he's 30 in Salarian years. The official site has him as 50 which I assume is his age equivalent to human years.

I too have heard he's 50 as he's in his last decade and salarians aren't expected to live past 50 or 60 so he's actually pushing it a bit. Hoping he returns in ME3 and doesn't die of old age. Still, I think ME3 will only be set a few months after ME2 so he should be still around.

Mordin's pretty much on his last decade from what I've gleaned from dialogue. I could see him living out the last 10-ish years of his life, but given that he can be rough and tumble if need be, it could be sooner than that.

But if he lived in your game (I know he does for mine!), he'll probably have left the Normandy and either returned to the Omega clinic or have started up a new one somewhere else.

Hopefully our boy Mordin will have survived the rigors of attacking the Collector base, but I think we all agree that physically his best days are behind him. Retired from STG after all so he's no longer at his physical peak which makes his 'think I'm helpless, do you?' (can't remember exact quote) all the more apt: the frail old man still kicking much butt!

However, one of the things I would be curious about, not necessarily just limited to Mordin, is whether any of the squad (assuming everyone was loyal and survived) would leave. They are amongst the few who know the truth about the Reapers. I suspect that (along with EDI) Mordin should still have a lot to contribute to the war against the Reapers. Old in body but not in mind.

I imagine that Mordin would stay on as a non-squaddie, continuing to serve as the resident omnidisciplinary scientist.

Probably so. I would expect he'd stay on as the scientist for the team and probably for medical matters. However, I'd like to see him back out in the field, he added a sort of humor to the place that you only really ever see in Garrus and possibly even Legion. I really don't mind what he comes back as as long as it isn't like Liara in ME2. I'd hope for him to stay on the Normandy and give moral (and hopefully physical) support.

Mordin is an amazing character, I started a playthrough so that I would end the Suicide mission where he survives.

His loyalty mission is one of the best of the game, it comes as a two pack with Grunt's wich makes me happy because I get to play with two characters I like.

He knows it is lupus!

While doing my first Hardcore run as a Vanguard, I decided to let Mordin tag along for a change.

He came with me to Horizon.  And proceeded to nuke Collectors and Scions, as well as burning the pesky armor off husks so I could shotgun them.

He came with me to Grunt's loyalty mission.  His incinerate killed the Thresher Maw.

He came with me to the Derelict Reaper.  Didn't die.  I died.  Samara died.  One time when I had a half-second of life left, surrounded by husks and with a Scion bearing down on me, I caught Mordin out of the corner of my eye, still killing things.

He came with me to the Oculus.  During the second half of the battle, the Oculus decided to go for Miranda and she quickly died.  Then it decided to go after Mordin.  I took advantage of this by laying as much into the Oculus as I could while it wasn't firing at me - and noticed that Mordin was still going strong.  :o

The only reason I didn't bring him to the Reaper larvae was because I knew somehow he'd incinerate it to death, thus saving the galaxy.  And after that, I'd go visit him in his lab to thank him, and he'd say - "just looking to help."

Here's to Mordin.

Really? Mordin dies all the time on mine...

Maybe he just doesn't like me as much.
