Really? Mordin dies all the time on mine...

Maybe he just doesn't like me as much.

I was surprised too.  Maybe mine has been genetically enhanced or something.  I suspect the AI is a bit smarter about not exposing him to certain death as compared to, say, Grunt.

Maybe. If so, that's really the only time that two squadmates use different AI. BW needs to work on that.

No one likes Mordin... This thread is barely active!

I hope BioWare doesn't kill off Mordin out of consideration of his age. I understand if he can't be a squadmate anymore, but still, keep him around in the crew. He's just that awesome.

I realized there was one other mission I hadn't done - the Abandoned Mine (aka Huskville.)

Yup, I took Mordin and Grunt. And no, Mordin did not die. He kindly used Incinerate and/or Cryoblast (as needed) on the husks so I could sweep 'em away with my shotgun.

Maybe Mordin likes me because I have a Salarian as my avatar. You should give that a try next time, AdmiralCheez. :)

So I was looking through the game files and I found an e-mail from Kirrahe that I don't remember seeing in the game. Did anyone get it?

From: Captain Kirrahe
Shepard: Glad you're alive. Hoped rumors of
death were exaggerated. If Virmire couldn't kill you, I doubt much could. Got
word from Mordin that he's active again with you. He requested some classified
data to help with countermeasures for stasis field used in the human colony
attacks. I worked with him on Special Tasks Group. He's a good agent. Nervy for
a tech. Bit of a cloaca, though. I didn't get permission to investigate attacks
on your human colonies, but I'm asking around anyway. If I find anything useful,
I'll send it your way. Hold the line, Kirrahe

I feel sorry for Mordin's German voice actor. That was...painful.

I feel sorry for Mordin. I nearly cried when i remembered Salarians live to 40. Cant they make it so he invents some sort of immortality serum.

Oo...activity.

Kirrahe in ME3 would be nice just to see his interaction with Mordin who will hopefully still be around.

Whether Mordin is effective in battle seems to be very much a case of which missions you take him on and how he's leveled up. 'Recently' I've decided to level his Incineration Blast and Cryo....(can't remember name). The choices are more tactical I feel as both, when maxed out, are great for delaying the enemy and allows you to shoot them. Mind you I try to have a nice balance of squad powers at my disposal with Overload for enemies with shields.

I do find myself taking Mordin along for the final battle though to help take out those pesky Collectors.

Kirrahe and Mordin would be interesting. Mordin doesn't say too much about him, other than sort of mocking his "military bravado," so it would be fun to see how they react to each other.

Did anyone notice that on the shadow brocker Dossiers that Mordin is Polonius in Hamlet?

Our Mordin is multi-talented. It's almost ridiculous what he's achieved.

Just throwing in my support for Mordin, IMO he is the best written mass effect character so far, and I don't say that lightly as there are a few other characters I really like. I wanted to pose a question to everyone. If you had to choose between your preferred LI and Mordin for ME3 who would you take?

Personally, I'd take my LI over Mordin, and it's not a hard decision for me.

Dude! Mordin is awesome, he's my second favourite character. I hope we see him again in ME3. His conversations always gave me a lot to think about, especially on the loyalty mission and the role of the genophage. And the singing.. brilliant.

Love Mordin. He's got my Shepard pegged when he says she's after him. Er, not really, I'm just yanking your chain ;-)

I do love him though - great humour and very well written and performed. Very much hoping to see him in ME3.

In my runthrough with a relationshipless Shepard (the guy's an ass) I choose...Mordin. :P

Yeah, I cheated.

I think part of the reason Mordin is under appreciated aside from the fact that he's not an LI, is because he's already so awesome there is not much you can say, other than Mordin is awesome of course.

Its a generally accepted fact I think.  I hope when we see him in ME3 there's a 'hug Mordin' option - his reaction would be priceless.

He might see that as Shepard making a pass at him. Again, if you didn't romance anyone in ME2.

Hey, I just discovered the website sketchfu.com and as a show of love for my most favourite genius of all time, I drew a picture of him.
