Hey guys and gals, dunno if any of you noticed, but Mordin has a slightly different voice in the E3 demo.
I would worry completely just yet, but I strongly urge anyone who has twitter to at least ask and/or tell Casey Hudson and Preston... his first/last name escapes me, about why Mordin's voice was different in the E3 demo and that you'd like Michael Beattie back in ME3. But do so politely. Mordin wouldn't ever resort to swear words. ;]
Casey's Twitter at the very least.

I noticed that right away too; The old VA needs to come back, this new one doesn't cut it at all.

That's why I strongly feel people should *politely* ask Casey Hudson about this. The more people who speak up now, the better chance we'll have to get Beattie back as Mordin!

Could it be that it's still Michael Beattie, but that they haven't applied the voice filters yet?

After playing the video again, I can see you're right. It's weird, but one must not forget that this is still a demo. Thane's voice was different in ME2's E3 demos as well.

Mordin was one of my fav in ME2. He reminds me a bit of HK47. I like listening to him go on and on about everything. Who could ever forget him rocking the Scientist Salarian song! (I still made it as my phone's ringtone lol) Hopefully he'll be one of the permanent squadmate.

In a twitter post one of the Devs said that they were finalizing some of the dialogue for the game its possible that part of the game was the unfinished lines and they put someone in to temporarily replace him... that being said they could have found a temp that at least sounded like him.

Def. sounds like Mark Meer doing a Beattie impression - and a pretty good one, too. Not in any way a replacement for the real McCoy, but certainly impressive!
Between that and the 'living Bible' thing, I'm turning into quite the Meer fan - he's ace.

I'm Commander Shepard, and Mordin Solus is my favorite character in Mass Effect 2.
No seriously. Hes smart, insatiably curious, has high morals but has a renegade streak. I love talking to him and hearing his one liners...
