For me I have no desire to see Jack, Tali, Liara or Kaidan (killed him everytime on Virmire) ever again. I found them all to be so boring and uninteresting especially Tali and Liara (sorry fans) and with Jack I just thought she was a bad stereotype and annoying. I even almost went all the way through with romancing her to see if there was something more but I was disappointed.

So how about you guys?

I didn't hate any of the characters, but I could hardly care less about jack. I ignored her completely as it seems kind of stupid to have a psycho murderer on my otherwise elite team. Also the meeting with ash/kadian on horizon definitely made me like them less.

I wouldnt cry if we never saw Ashley, Liara, Jack or Miranda again. All the female love interests from either game, except for the Quarian, have repellent personalities. Well, Miranda can hang around, if she doesn't talk, and just sort of stretches in the background.

I'm kind of surprised by all the Jack hate, I kinda liked her - she's different.

Jacob is boring. His loyalty quest really didn't reveal much about him. I think a mission involving his history with the Alliance would have been better.

Zaeed is potentially an awesome character, but I wish they let you have an actual conversation with him on the ship to find something out about him like you can with the rest of the crew. Without that, he seems like an underdeveloped character.

And I could do without Samara. I find her kinda creepy, and not in a good way. I think it's those comically oversized boobs. I like boobs as much as the next guy, but jeez... they look completely unnatural and combine that with her big creepy eyes and she just gives me the heebie jeebies.

Personally I didn't like Jack either. Might have been better if she softened without being a romance option for my paragon, but the development of her character felt shallow. For my renegade I was hoping she would die, instead I lost the crew and none of the main characters as it was "in character".

Also, never been a fan of that, "oh I am so bad and powerful fear me" and having the person be useless (or no more useful) in combat. (like one of the characters from NWN2, even if there was a sort of reason for that).

The biggest thing that bugged me about Jack aside from her personality, is that apparently she is capable of single handedly taking out three Ymir Mechs at once, but she never brought this level of power to the group.

I guess I didn't get her A game.

I agree maybe if jack was actually a powerful biotic in game she wouldn't be so bad, but her skills are mediocre at best. Also her introduction cut scene is way way to over the top.

Edit: Spyndel beat me to mentioning the cut scene.

Also there are actually 4 destroyed YMIRs in that room when you get down there.

I think Jack would have been more interesting if you could have 'pulled a Garrus' and sway her to be more paragon or renegade. Even as Paragon Shep and LI she still wants to kill everything that breathes.

Grunt I also don't want to see much of. Pales in comparison to Wrex. It's so boring, all his dialogue is typical "no talk, want kill stuff". The Vorcha leader on Omega had more depth of characer.

Jacob was kind of disappointing too - maybe they can improve him for 3.

Yeah, I didn't get into Grunt much either. Maybe ditch him after we get one mission where we can have him and Wrex in the party. Considering I have never really been a fan of Krogan (again, the "look at this powerful race get taken down with a couple of pot shots from a pistol in the cut scene and then taken 15 minutes of focus fire to take down in game unless it's your own squad member), I really think they could make an awesome mission with both of them.

I'm not too keen on Jack either, but I found that she has the only interesting romance conversations. You have to argue a little with her and take her down a notch and the final scene with her is actually quite romantic. With all the other birds in the game you do em a favour and they start touching your nipples... Still, I do agree that her character is a little over the top.

The only hench I really don't need to see is Jacob. After every attempt to have a word with him, because thats all it ever is, a collection of attempts, I felt the irresistable urge to give him a headbut. I'm actually considering on my current playthrough to not do his loyalty mission and to send him into the vents at the end, hoping he'll get a bullet in his head so I don't have to worry about having to put up with him in the third part.

I would have liked the option to pop Jack as well. The rest are cool. I always just let Jack die. Good thing it's easy to keep her not loyal.

grunt is a huge step down from wrex; so mechanical and uninteresting. i'd also like to pop a round or two into miranda's forehead.

Why Jack? She's a nice kid under all that ink.

Personally, I'd like to have everyone I dislike back in ME3, so I can deal with 'em personally.

It was so good to scare the hell outta Fist when I met him on Omega.

No desire to see Jacob again. I dont think I used him again after I got another option. I actually liked everyone else. The back stories were a great idea.

Never understood all the Miranda hate. She is by far one of the most developed characters (Tali and Garus are the other two), and there is a reason why she acts the way she does and is the way she is.

Zaeed is a pretty funny character in my humble opinion, and grunt was basically born when you yanked him out of the tank, how deep do you expect him to be?

And of course jack is messed up (although the part when she goes into a whiny rage when she sees the Normandy is awkward and silly) but you would be too if you were in her shoes. I agree her taking 4 Ymir mechs on her own and being fairly useless as a squaddie is silly (her shockwave annihilates unprotected husks though), but you would complain if she was that powerful when she was in your squad and trivialized the game for you.

I could go on but you get the point.

I can't say I disliked any character so far. There are characters that never touched me that much (Tali, our nice little geth-racist; Samara, miss creepy with far too big breast,...), and there are characters that are a little too much cliche/odd (Jacob our homie and miss perfect Miranda), but still they are all writen pretty well.

There are few characters I really liked that much that I would be very displeased not to see them back in the team (Garrus and Joker), but I liked the other. Jack might look a like a little "too much", but face it, a child that doesn't have a "normal" childhood through its first years pretty easily turns out that way. I have seen enough real people, with messed up childhoods who ended up the same way (within realistic parameters, so sorry, no biotic powers...).

Still I hoped I could kick Zaeed out. I couldn't trust him a second. Nicely written, but I didn't want to have him on the team.
