Wow! all this dislikes... but at my opinion problem is different. The idea of background was great, but almost all the characters are flat and lame. I like all of them. They all have BIG potentiaI. I would like much more diversity. But there are so little options to talk, and as very, very soon they started repeat the same lines... this is boring and very disapointed. I expected much more of ME2 after Dragon Age... And what was a disaster, after the end of the game they goes with the same lines too... And go visit Anderson after the end, and what? You can ask him "what's up?'. This is what I DEFFINIETLY DO NOT WANT TO SEE IN ME3 about characters... The game was wonderfull, but I have a feeling they do not have time to end it properly. And that was sad,,, So I want to see a lot of different, complicated characters with a lot of dialog options. And Garrus and Legion must be there :) .

I didn't dislike any of the characters. I know I won't see Ashley again since I set her up the bomb in every play through. I wouldn't miss not seeing Aria again.

Tali, Legion, Mordin, Miranda, and to a lesser extent Samara, are the only ones who have roles that, in one way or another, can effectively tip the scales of the war against the Reapers.

Jacob, Jack, Grunt, Thane, Garrus, and Zaeed never had anything to contribute to the ME universe in terms of the underlying plot to prepare for the Reaper invasion. They were always cannon fodder, filler for ME2, nothing more.

In the meantime, Ashley and Kaidan ought to be captured by the Collectors and pureed.

<Garrus> - in ME he had no spine, and in ME2 he's absolutely boring (again)
<Jack> - I actually want her in ME3... so I can shoot her!
<Grunt> - I don't know, he's just not Wrex
<Samara> - as I've said before; what's Marvel Comics doing in ME??
<Jacob> - too generic
<Miranda> = bi**h!
Just give me Wrex, Legion, Liara and Tali Posted Image

disagree about jack.  it's noted that she might be the most powerful biotic in the galaxy, and if anyone at BW has read or been influenced by Julian May's books of a quite analagous situation (down to the name, even), then she alone could have as much or more influence than shepard.

It's likely that neither Zaeed nor Samara will be future squad members anyway. Zaeed was hired for that one mission with you, and Samara pretty much rightout told you that once the collectors were dealt with she had many other dark places to go to.

Zaeed. He's just terrible. But I want to see everyone else. Just to put a bullet in their head or be like "haha, owned! There are the reaper!"

Jacob - Only companion I get bored with. I never use him past Mordin's recruitment mission. I'd like Bioware write him into a sidestory for ME3.

Thane - Same thing. I didn't really get attached to him at all. He was more useful than Jacob by far. Let Bioware write him a happy ending with his son for ME3.

I really liked everyone else, suprisingly Jack made her way up my list from the bottom. Playing through her loyalty mission and subsiquent conversations, I found that she was just a scared little girl underneath who had been taken advantage of her whole life. I want to see her make a transformation for ME3. Grunt is the young adult who is still figuring out how to be Krogan, underneath all that bloodrage there is a thinker. Those were the two I thought I would have issues with before the game came out.

No more than Samara or any other Matriarch-class Asari. Even if she was, her character is not suited to being in a leadership role. Nor does her emotional state compel her to act as a front-liner in defending the galaxy. And even if she got over that (for whatever reason, be it psychiatric help or Shepard's influence), her combat skill is her only asset.

Talk to Samara a bit more and she says that she will "be there whenever you call for her". :D

By the way, I've been to the Omega Marketplace, there's a dialogue in which she says that she'll go there for a long while after the mission.

could do without jacob, miranda, and zaeed. I actually enjoyed talking with grunt, for being just recently born he is quite funny after he starts figuring things out.

Jack is an interesting concept that Bioware either needs to make a lot less ****y or a lot more sociable. She is quantifiable evidence that Cerberus is not a happy fun time organization and to that end she is not going anywhere. If you see any interviews with the Bioware staff, they are exceedingly happy with her as a character because people have two polar reactions to her.

Miranda is not as fully fleshed out as she should be but with Yvonne Strahovski being the model and voice she is not going anywhere.

Samara was creepy yet useful. The over-sized breast were there to have you possibly forget that if you went the renegade path with her she was going to attempt to kill you after service was done. That makes her an awesome equalizing character that could prove to be sufficiently deadly to people who did not like her. Also the Morinth possibility could be used to tick over in much the same battle but perhaps harder fought as she tries to escape you.

Jacob was dull and not a good fit for this game. They wanted to tie Mass Effect Galaxy to Mass Effect 2. The father story was one of the weaker back story missions

Mordin is just the bomb and I would be sincerely sorry to see him go anywhere.

Grunt is no Wrex. That being said they are not going to put Wrex back in unless it is to lead the Krogans to help fight the Reapers. Helping Grunt to take control of the Krogans to lead them into a future suicide mission would be interesting if Wrex is already gone from your game.

Kaidan will be back in some form to confront those players who continue to associate with him.

Ashley will also be back in some form probably to challenge for the true love of male Sheppards everywhere.

Tali and Legion are going to be back because the tension between them and their two peoples is going to profoundly change the universe. With either peace or with war between them the story possibilities for multiple outcomes is to great to ignore.

Garrus is the associate bad ass of the series now. Facing off against 3 merc companies puts him well beyond anyone else in terms of being a Spectre in his own right. He should seriously be looked at as a possible launch point for a different title.

Kelly should go, the engineers were great with the kicking collectors in the daddy bags. Doctor is now a good drinking partner and how are you going to doom the regular crew to eating your own cooking?

Thane could disappear easily and contextually. I would rather miss him as he is a cool character in many respects although the drell living your memory thing can be annoying.

Zaaed is definitely one I think should go. He is not really trustworthy and part of what his purpose was originally is served by Garrus and Jack. This is why I think he was made an eventual add on character.

Truthfully I didn't hate anyone.

I didn't really care one way or the other about Grunt, sadly. I thought for sure I'd like him. I love the Krogan but as everyone else said, he is no Wrex... but that is what makes Wrex, Wrex. It is like they had to pull him out of the game as a squad mate to let the other characters grow more (Tali and Garrus) and while Tali, Garrus, and Wrex were my favs, I have seen a lot of people say they had a lot more character added to them in 2.

I guess if I had to pick one, I'd choose Ashley. I just... whatever. I regret picking her to live. While I didn't like Kadian, he was still better than miss xenophobe with an attitude.

Miranda and Jack are both cool. I'd actually love to have them both on my squad in 3.

I think I said early about not caring much for Grunt, but he is growing on me. Him verse another Krogan, Miranda says, "Krogan charging" when the enemy get's close then Grunt screams "I AM KROGAN!" as they both charge each other is still funny.

Plus being just born, he has a lot of potential for growth. Never going to happen, but with the sort of less warlike Wrex, I reckon it would be cool to drag Grunt along a Paragon path where you teach him that battle isn't everything and they both become a force to change the Krogan.

Then again, nobody would probably agree with me there.
