I just started another soldier today since i finnaly got a hold of some collector armor and the weapon, and im trying to figure out which assasult rifle is best out of the 3 in the title, i know the reve and geth pulse are further into the game, and i can use the collector right now, but im trying to figure out which of these 3 people prefer, ive already used the revenant and pulse, and i was a fan of both, and im about to try out the collector, but which do you guys find to be most effective? I know revenant is not great at accuracy til you get the accuracy upgrade, but how do the other rifles compare?

My apologies if another post like this has already been made, if it has please provide me with a link, thatd be appreciated, if there hasnt been one yet, any info or tips are appreciated

Once you get the accuracy upgrade, Revenant is the best weapon in the game, on any difficulty, IMO.

Widow suffers on insanity when the stuff you can one shot with it is limited, and the ammo paucity is an issue.

yeah, actually recently on my 2nd infiltrator (not a NG+_) i picked the AR training for her since i already had the widow on my other infil, just for fun, so now she runs around with the geth pulse, ill probably give her the collector next time i play her, so far im liking this collector rifle though, but reve is my all time fav, its a beast

what i dont understand is why the geth pulse can only be attained on hardcore or insane, i mean the thing isnt really that amazing, its good against sheilds, but eh

playing a soldier on insanity i got the revenant and its stupid awesome. people complain about its accuracy, but i clean house with that thing holding down the trigger till i hear a click. its going to really be weird going back to the SMG now that im done with the soldier and insanity.



as a matter of fact, i miss it already.

yeah i usually hold the trigger down till the little aim sight thing begins spread apart really far, at that point the accuracy isnt great at long range, i ususally just scatter fire it, hold the trigger down a second, release, hold down again, just taking burst shots, i found that most effective

Revenant > Avenger > Collector > Vindicator > Geth Pulse Rifle



The Revenant has the highest sustained DPS, the most ammo, and the accuracy doesn't suck once you realize you're not supposed to snipe with an AR (You have a sniper rifle for that). Then, you get the accuracy upgrade, and you can take long range pot shots all day long.



The Avenger and the Collector have identical DPS rates, but the Avenger has more total damage in its ammo load out and a larger heat sink capacity.



The Vindicator would be the best AR in the game if it didn't have so little ammo. That's the reason why I put it so low. Sure, it's accurate and does a crapton of damage... but the Revenant has better sustained DPS, and the Avenger and Collector Rifles have similar sustained DPS and much more ammo.



The Geth Pulse Rifle hits like a little girl. Yes, it's good at taking out barriers and shields, but all AR's are. You're not really gaining much by using it, other than some additional ammo capacity over the Avenger. It looks and sounds pretty cool, though.

Good comparison, i think the collector rifle looks and sounds pretty cool too, and is pretty effective, but ill drop it soon as i get that reve, avenger is good accuracy since it burst fires, reminds me of that M16A4 or w/e it is from modern warfare 2, i really wanna get that incisor sniper rifle, i saw a vid on youtube, and when you equip that thing on members like garrus and that merc dude, they just destroy with it

Yeah ive had it once before on my first soldier, but since i got the collectors stuff today i created a brand new soldier just to mess around with it but it is an amazing AR, i will agree

I also have the Collector's stuff (Armor and AR)... and to tell you the truth I feel the Collector's Rifle is just an Avenger with another skin... I was expecting to be a far better weapon than it is, since it was a premium item from the Collector's Edition.



But the armor is really good until the mid-end of the game, when you get all the other N7 amor pieces to full customize your N7 armor.

The collector rifle is overall better than the GPR, but the revnant is godly, cryo ammo on it and sniper rifles can be very entertaining against husks.

Reve tears husks to shreds, specially on what mission was that, the mission where you actually aquire the reve, and then theres that ramp with all those husks coming up it, oh man, they were torn to shreds.

I honestly went with Widow and Geth Pulse Rifle on my Insanity playthough and cleaned house. The Armor Piercing rounds worked well once my rifle took down their shields or barriers, one-two shots after and they were done. worked amazing against targets like Harbinger and Scions.

Swap the Avenger and the Vindicator around and you have a good list. Yes, the Vindicator has less ammo then the rest. It also kills more reliably then anything else barring the Revenant.

The Avenger hits like a pea shooter. I used it until Horizon then I banned it to the armoury.

Because it is  pretty useless on lower diffculty when compare to other AR.  There are very few shields around on verteran and lower.
