Just wondering if this is a bug. After being ME2 once, I went back and imported my ME1 character again. On the first mission complete screen, as it's outlining all the import bonuses I've recieved (Long Service Bonuses, specifically), it says "Retain all heavy weapons from previous playthroughs". Yet I still have to research and collect all those weapons again.
Was this a design decision? I've yet to play a New Game+ without importing a ME1 character as well. Do I have to import a ME2 Shepard to keep the heavy weapons in my inventory?

As far ask I know the heavy weapons only applies if you import an me2 characters.

Right, you need to import your ME2 Shepard to retain any previously researched heavy weapons.
Since your ME1 Shepard couldn't have researched heavy weapons in a previous playthrough, they don't start off with any.
