I believed you weren't a troll until these two statements.

Edit: I like to think of the Quarians as a bunch of Russian space bikers. Just flying around the galaxy aimlessly, pissing off any system they arrive at. They certainly seem to be doing fine, at least they aren't faced with the immediate threat of extinction.

Error on your second point. The codex specifically states the Quarians planned to use the Geth as tools of war.

True, but also of labor, and most of the source material dwells on that aspect.  Also, creating VI-driven military equipment is utterly normal.  Everyone does that.  Doesn't mean they were out to enslave the galaxy.

This idea is further reinforced by the hardliner Admiral Xen who sends an email detailing her thoughts on taking back the Quarian homeworld, re-enslaving the Geth, and using them to possibly conquer the galaxy (implied by her in the email about the "largest army in the galaxy")

No.  All that tells you is what she'd like to do with them.  It tells you not a damn thing about Quarian foreign policy 300 years ago.

Indeed, the Geth are fore fathers of the present day "MECH" technology in my mind. so if the geth didn't got sentient thats what they would have been Loki's and YMIR's.

So if thats up in the air then I assume so is the Quarians "peaceful intentions" 300 years ago? :police:
On the contrary you assume Quarians are peaceful because right now they are a migrant rag-tag fleet. And it tells me alot about Quarian foreign policy. If she was thinking this now, what were the Quarians thinking on the brink of creating the Geth? Probably very excited about using it to dominate. This is one of those "play with fire and you get burned" tragedy's.

I have to conceed that I remembered the second part wrong - however, the quarians did not use the geth as a synthetic army (they never got to it before they were driven out). Also, Xen does not say she wants to take over the galaxy - she says she wants to take over the homeworld and the largest synthetic army in the galaxy.

Besides, since Tali's father bought it, she is getting lonely about her intentions, and I would assume even more so if Shepard drives a no-war line. And you can't judge an entire people for what they did 300 years ago - there will always be people thinking like they did back then, but that doesn't necessarily mean everybody does it. Germany was filled with ****s during the 1930's and 40's, and there are still ****s in Germany, but that doesn't mean Germany is full of them.

Of course the quarians hold a grudge - I would too if my vacuum cleaner would have driven me out of my home. And as far as I know, the reason the quarians plan for war is because they DO NOT KNOW the geth stance in the matter. They only have their own point of view.

And don't forget the vacuum cleaner almost wiped out your entire family in the process.

Yeah but that is because you tried to kill it first, I would say that if your family tried to kill your vacuum cleaner then it wiping them out would be a justified response.

That was clearly a threat, she wants you to know that if the Quarians reclaim the Geth then they will have the largest army in the galaxy, big enough to take over the galaxy. She also goes on to say that if Shepard had chosen to help her and give her the info then humanity may have been spared, but since they diddnt they will share the same fate as the rest of the galaxy and be forced to serve under their boot heels.

Anyone else think the Quarians are a race of total bastards? Lets have a look at their history, first they think they are above galactic law and perform illegal AI research behind the councils back. With the results of thier illegal AI research they create a race of sentient machines called the Geth who they then enslave to do all their dirty work and torture when they are feeling particularly sadistic (I also assume that the Quarians intended to mass produce the Geth to serve in their armies in their sick and twisted dreams of enslaving all the other races in the galaxy), then when the Geth started asking too many questions and show signs of being an intelligent and caring race the Quarians try to kill them all just for fun dispite the fact that the Geth showed no signs of aggression, the Quarians however got what the deserved and for all their warmongering bloodlust they were banished from their homeworld by their own creations. To add insult to Injury the council who then saw how evil and greedy the Quarians really were banished them from Citadel space.

Even today the Quarians still hold a grudge against the Geth and every other civilized race in Citadel space hiding on their ships until the day when they can either destroy the Geth and take back their homeworld or enslave the Geth once again and use their numbers to take over the Galaxy when all the Geth want is to live in peace.

Even Tali'Zorah who some of the other Quarians say is "the best and brightest their race has to offer" is a poster girl to show just how racist and selfish the Quarians really are. In ME1 all she ever cared about was the migrant fleet, her pilgramage and destroying the Geth, she really came off as self centered and quite frankly a bit of a ****. In ME2 she hasnt changed much. She was very rude when she first came on board the Normandy to Jacob (who tried to offer the hand of friendship) just because he was black. She even tried to kill Legion just because he was a Geth even though he did save her life.

The Quarians are a race of total bastards, the council was right to boot them from the citadel and I sincerly hope we get the option to destroy the Migrant fleet in ME3.

You do know that EDI is an AI. Also to be blunt, humans are by far the biggest a-holes in ME.

Well, China has the largest military force available in the world today, are they a threat to everyone else? Will we see Chinese soldiers on the streets of Washington DC, Berlin and London? No? Strange - and here I was thinking that the only reason a country has an army is so they could take over the world...

Actually, this is her email:

Subject: A pleasure to meet you.

From: Admiral Daro'Xen vas Moreh

I've been digging through the Alarei. Just wanted you to know I found a few things from the experiments Rael'Zorah was conducting. Had you shared them with me, humanity might have reaped the benefits. Instead, once my own experiments are complete, you and your people will watch from a distance as the quarian people reclaim not just their homeworld, but the largest synthetic army in the galaxy. Rael'Zorah's death will not have been in vain. I will complete what he started.

Cordially,

Admiral Daro'Xen vas Moreh

Where in this text does it say anything about the quarians wanting to take over the galaxy? They (or rather, admiral Xen) wants the largest synthetic army in the galaxy. Of course she could have a hidden agenda, but I doubt it.

Well if you've been reading the news, China is indeed shaping up to be quite a threat. They will use this military power soon in the near future probably to defend resources (or fight the US over it). Humanoids (that means you Quarians!) always use brute power when we can exert it as its an easy way to accomplish objectives and bend others to our will , its in our nature.

I don't see the problem with a little social commentary on human nature in a video game.

Well, how about North Korea then? They rattle their sabres every now and then but never do any more. The US has been a major power factor over half the last century, but still hasn't taken over any countries. NATO faced off against an even larger enemy (The Warsaw Pact) for 50 years, and neither made a move against each other. It is actually quite possible (shocking, I know) that some countries just want a strong military for their defence. The best defence is the one that never has to be tested, no?

Tell that to Tibet, China probably would take over the world if they could but they just dont have the resources. Besides China may have a large military (dont know about the largest) but there is no way they could stand against the combined forces of all the allied nations, attacking the US, London or Berlin would be a horrible idea.

Anyway I do not see your point, how does China having a large army relate to the Quarians wanting to take over the Galaxy?
