That was clearly a threat, she wants you to know that if the Quarians reclaim the Geth then they will have the largest army in the galaxy, big enough to take over the galaxy. She also goes on to say that if Shepard had chosen to help her and give her the info then humanity may have been spared, but since they diddnt they will share the same fate as the rest of the galaxy and be forced to serve under their boot heels.

Well, China has the largest military force available in the world today, are they a threat to everyone else? Will we see Chinese soldiers on the streets of Washington DC, Berlin and London? No? Strange - and here I was thinking that the only reason a country has an army is so they could take over the world...

Tell that to Tibet, China probably would take over the world if they could but they just dont have the resources. Besides China may have a large military (dont know about the largest) but there is no way they could stand against the combined forces of all the allied nations, attacking the US, London or Berlin would be a horrible idea.

Anyway I do not see your point, how does China having a large army relate to the Quarians wanting to take over the Galaxy?

Leaving real-world politics aside, that was just me trying to compare how some seems to think a military force should be used. It seems to me many thinks that because of Xen's intention of aquiring the largest synthetic army in the galaxy, the quarians would by default become a new threat to galaxy peace. Having a large army does not necessarily mean that - China (sorry, slipping into real-world politics again) has had all the chances in the world to take over Taiwan or Tibet, but they haven't because they know there would be consequenses. The US has had a very strong military force for 60 years, and they haven't occupied the world either.

Regardless of how big the Quarians army is their intentions are clear, the Email that Admiral Xen sent was clearly meant as a threat. I know what you are trying to say though, in the right hands an army can be used for good, it can be used to protect a nation from those who would do it harm. But then in the other hand it can be used for great evil, it can be used to slaughter innocents and enslave nations, it just depends on who controls it. A paragon Shepard would use an army to protect the galaxy from the Reapers and those who would do it harm, but the filthy Quarians on the other hand would use it to enslave the galaxy.

So if thats up in the air then I assume so is the Quarians "peaceful intentions" 300 years ago? :police:
On the contrary you assume Quarians are peaceful because right now they are a migrant rag-tag fleet. And it tells me alot about Quarian foreign policy. If she was thinking this now, what were the Quarians thinking on the brink of creating the Geth? Probably very excited about using it to dominate. This is one of those "play with fire and you get burned" tragedy's.

I don't assume the entire Quarian race is all anything, 'cause I know for a fact they're not.  Just go talk to each admiral, and you'll learn that fast enough.  And I definitely don't know what they were up to politically 300 years ago.  Neither do you.  Nothing we know, however, says they were looking for war and conquest back then. Until there's actual evidence, not just speculation (and admittedly, it's not unreasonable speculation, but it's still unfounded). They didn't do anything too unusual with the geth.  That's the whole point of the mess: they never meant it to happen and had just been building a variety of VI-driven tools (yes, some were meant for the military. Again I say, so what? Does a certain  "Rogue VI" mission ring a bell?  Or read the Codex and look for reference to drones and the like) so far as they or anyone else knew.  I'm perfectly willing to concede that Daro'Xen is a bellicose jerk with a megalomaniac streak, though, 'cause she heavily implied as much in her email to me. I don't trust her one little bit.  I'm also willing to concede she's not the only one in the Migrant Fleet.  Still have no clue how many bellicose jerks (with or without the megalomania) exist in total, though.

This is not a preconception, at first I thought the Quarians looked interesting but as I started talking to Tali I saw a glimpse of how selfish and evil the Quarians are. I know I cant judge a race off one person but when I visited the migrant fleet I saw first hand that all of the Quarians are the same, they are a race of selfish and evil bastards who only desire power.

In fact I would say that it is you who is letting your love for Tali get in the way of reason and rational thought. Those hips must be a powerful force indeed to blind so many weak minded fools to the true nature of the Quarians.

And there you showed how narrow-minded and prejudiced you are by assuming I have a love for Tali. I haven't seen ANY of what you say when speaking to the people on the Migrant Fleet; they have just as differing opinions as humans: two admirals are pro-war, one anti-war and one undecided; and because of these four individuals you form an opinion about a population of 17 millions?

To Gandolf-The-Fabulous: I understand where you are coming from, and you did make some good points. But don't start up a new thread because the other was shut down! If you want to get your point across with others, you should not do something that would lower yourself to such a level. I actually respect your argument because you didn't start saying stupid internet crap like " OMFG QUARIANS R TEH STUPIDZ!" Keep it cool, and keep it on topic about the Quarians, not the Chinese, even if they are commie *******.

To the Defendants: Guys; he is trying to make a point here, at least give him a chance before getting ticked off and spamming beards[?]. If you think he is a *****, then keep it to yourself. In the event that he really starts TROLLING, then stay above him and tell him to stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

To Readers: Before posting to this, look up some form / argument rules [ Ex: "Godwin's Law"] so you don't ruin it for either side.

Me: Everyone, I'll buy you all a round of strong beverages, and you can all calmly debate it in a nice bar......... OR I SWEAR IF I HEAR ANOTHER STUPID ARGUMENT I'LL SHOVE MY FOOT SO FAR UP YOUR QUAD........ *Clears Voice.* Thank you for listening to my opinion.

Grizzly, I'm just trying to say to both "parties" that this argument seems a tad pointless, if Gandorf thinks that the Quarians are complete jerks because of the Geth then so be it. If you think he is being judgmental and jumping to conclusions about how people might be because of their history, then ok, there is NO need to have an argument go on for this long........

ALSO, can you guys stop quoting entire pages? Its annoying.

The thing is you seem to be arguing that the Quarians are saints who never set a foot wrong and shoot rays of sunlight from their bottoms and the only peice of evidence you have to back up this claim is that Tali's hips look nice.

I cannot say that I have spoken to everyone of the 17 million Quarians that live on the flotilla, but lets have a look at every Quarian we have met in the game.

Tali'Zorah: A self centered racist who only cares about wiping out the Geth.

Prazza and his squad: They showed just how arrogant and quick to jump to conclusions the Quarians really are and paid the price for it on Freedoms Progress. They also show how greedy and selfish Quarians are because they are there on a mission to take advantage of the human colony being wiped out and scavenge whatever they could.

Veetor: Hard to tell because he is a babling idiot, evidence suggests that he gave the coordinates for the colony to the collectors.

Kal'Reegar: A violent sycopath who loves to shoot things, doesnt think for himself and loves it when his superiors give him a new target to shoot.

Now lets move onto the Admirals, Lets not forget that each admiral represents the veiws of all the Quarians on their ships, kind of like politicians in a democratic society. Remember the Quarians are domocratic society after all and if each Admiral represented his veiw alone it would be more of a dictatorship.

Admiral Xen : wants to enslave the Geth and use them to take over the galaxy.

Admiral Shala'Raan: I cant remember her views but I think she was undecided, either way she still holds a grudge against the Geth

Admiral Gerrel : Wants the Quarians to enter into a bloody and pointless war with the Geth, does not want a diplomatic solution and wants to make the Geth pay for embarrasing them when the Quarians tried to kill them all and failed

Tali's Father (who is also an admiral): Just as bad as Xen, wants to enslave the Geth and take over the galaxy, was even performing research to try and achieve this. Got what he deserved when the Geth he was torturing and performing cruel experiments on decided to fight back

Admiral Koris: the only one who can admit that they were wrong and wants to find a diplomatic solution with the geth. However he may have a few share his views but the vast majority of Quarians look down upon him for being a "Geth sympathiser".

So by the evidence I present here I conclude without a doubt that the Quarians are a race of total bastards
