the Krogan armour in the OP looks bad, but everything else is VERY nice.

No offence meant, just a question for an honest answer: You're saying that you're back on the project thanks to the new DLC. But do you think you'll ever really finish this? The DLC only lasts an hour after all...

Well I'm interest in finishing the game with Kasumi and that's how I hunt poor textures, by progressing the game.

As I play the game, if I encounter a too noticeable poor texture, I stop playing and tweak it. This is really the only way as I have to check what I do. For example, right now I want to modified my butarian blue suns armor but I can't because I have to take Grunt.



Now, is the project really going to be finished? I don't really know. I'm still working on it I assure you.

For the first picture and the pronounced normal maps I would actually suggest that the original looks better overall. The reason is that by increasing the contrast and intensity of the normal maps the low texture size is actually even more obvious than before. Also it doesnt work quite well with the overall clean art design of the game.

But the smoothened out edges for all the other texture examples are just perfect, specially noticable on the last blue suns armor. Great work.

These results are really impressive. For the Krogan, I think the second text mod is the best.

Actually, in ME2, the normal maps are lower than the textures themselves. I just resized the normal maps at the same resolution of the textures then add back the original detail from it. The process I'm doing avoid any quality loss from doubling the size of the normal maps, it actually enhanced it. But then again, more detailed normal maps doesn't necessarly mean better visual quality, that's why I need your opinions.

Regarding the normal maps - I actually like the first version; maybe you could try to tone the effect down just a bit and see it goes. The second is far too exaggerated. I'd like to see how the normal maps work in motion, though. Very subtle NMs could improve the textures.

The other improvements are, without doubt, fantastic.

Make the Change id say I love the work you did and I think this would be awsome to see even better looking changes then the crappy original. they all lokk good compared to the original. i do like the t2nd textmod of the krogen.

How do I use this if I use MassAffinity to fix long load times on a dual core processor? I assume I can't just use Texmod on MassAffinity, or can I?

Try loading texmod with Massaffinity, then ME2 with texmod. Don't know for sure if it works.
