Hi there,

seems the EA servers are down and therefore i can not play (due to locked DLC).
Anyone know what happened?
When will the servers be working again?
is there no way to make the DLC available offline as well?

i mean all these online DRM system screw the customers in some way.
it would be nice if people who pais for their games and DLC could play ALWAYS, not just when you have an internet connection or when the servers are down.

I quite agree. I love this sort of game, but I'll be voting with my wallet in future. In my opinion, Bioware have lost their mojo. Or more likely, simply sold it.

However, you should still be able to play, just not upload/downlaod stuff.  Existing DLC should work.  Although, if you have a digital download type installation (I always buy retail discs whenever available, personally) I'm not sure if that functions differently....

I have the Direct2Drive version and mine seems to work fine, even with the 'can't access online storage' error. Have you tried waiting a few seconds after the menu appears to resume? I've had it happen in the past that I apparently loaded a game too quickly and without the usual warning found myself naked and presumably without DLC (I'm wearing the Warden Commander's suit), which fixed itself when I quit back to the main menu and loaded again.

You can play the PC and PS3 (I think) versions without a connection. Seems like only X-Box users have an issue.

when u play offline your DLC wont work.

this is a major bummer. servers seem to be OK again, but i find it rather customer unfriendly to be honest.

sure i can play the game offline. just all DLC is not there. meaning equipment, partymembers etc...

Not true. I just tested it, disabled my wifi connection and started DA, was definitely logged out with no possible way to contact EA servers, and all of my DLC worked fine. Shale was there, my armor from Warden's Keep was there, all three icons on my world map... If it's not working for you then it's definitely a special case.

If you cannot play your DLC offline, make sure you CD Key is stored in the registry properly. See this thread.

Otherwise, when the servers are down/unreachable, log out and don't attempt to log in and you will be able to play. If you attempt to log in, but fail that can screw up the DLC authentication, but if you play logged out it doesn't even try.
