Seriously though. Just... I dunno. Make it a bowling game. Just put Garrus in it. Please Bioware, I beg you.

Given how prevalent mercenary groups
and independent traders are in the Mass Effect universe I wouldn't mind
seeing another RPG along the lines of Privateer - start off with a
crummy little ship, do odd jobs, recruit partners, ship goods across the
galaxy, be a pirate and raid merchant ships, set up mining camps, raid
mining camps, start a mercenary group, destroy a mercenary group, etc.
Maybe
I'm just an old fogie who's far too nostalgic of the classic games.

Hey, I thought about something similar to this as
well. I can see a Mass Effect game mixing RPG action with classic
Privateer style trading... doing some merc jobs, smuggling, working on
hire for the alliance for some cover ops... Huge potential there for a new charismatic character. It
would mix space fighting with open world, non-linear sandbox
progression... But it would be like managing your own Millennium Falcon,
you know, finding resources, meeting people, assembling a team, escorting a trade operation, protect someone, hunt a baddie, that kind of stuff.
Hmm, on a second thought, I'm kind of wondering if the desire here isn't to play a Mass Effect game but to actually live in the Mass Effect universe...

Blah i really hope ME3 isnt gunna have any multiplayer aspects to it, after ME3 they can go all at it, but please dont add multiplayer to ME3...i hated gears multiplayer and i have a feeling that if mass effect had a multiplayer it would be similar to gears (since both are 3rd person)
Have to agree. i want them to FULLY concentrate on ME3 as a single player game. Instead of working/researching and using resouces out on an online mechanic. (since they've never done one, to my knowledge)
The replay value is in shepards story, not firing guns from the hip like so many other games have done.
i wouldn't mind a spin-off. im not sure with what character or senario... possible though.

OR the 'Conrad Verner becomes a Spectre' game! /kidding.
I also agree with those that posted about a spin-off with Garrus, Liara's story in 'Mass Effect: Redemption' or making an RTS version of Mass Effect.

Anymore?
I was really pumped about Halo Wars once before as well, wasn't what I expected.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that back tracking into a game's universe can get boring. Revisiting battles that were considered legendary is still rehashing old material.
Same thing with tv and movies. I'm not enjoying Caprica, I wasn't crazy about X-Men Origins or the Legend of Chun Li.
I really would like to see Mass Effect move forward, not backwards or sideways.

I think an RTS has some potential, but I'd rather stay on the ground, and be A character in the ME universe.

I predict if there is one, it'll be 50-60 years into the future.

Maybe a mass effect prequel? A mass effect RTS would be interesting though, i agree on that one
Oh god no..i dont want RTS of mass effect (that is just weird)...why not other character story with the same gameplay (we all know the gameplay change each game but you know what i mean)

Oh and another rachni war is not really possible. The rachni are dead or peaceful. So it's not likely (unless of course the other species are attacking them, but then, they are the "good guys"

i would love more mass effect games.. AS LONG AS BIOWARE IS MAKING THEM. they never fail to make an amazing game and i don't trust some ea subsidiary trying to make a game that could potentially hurt the overall quality of the series

Garrus would be perfect to make a game about, perhaps in his role after ME3, but again, he could be dead so it probably won't happen.
A Rachni Wars RTS would be awesome.
both would be nice, but i think the Garrus Idea could work better. Garrus did start his own group of mercs that were killed off we found out. Garrus based and we get to bring the mercs around. This would not disrupt the trilogy but we do know how it ends since it was a loyalty mission.
