I love the Mass Effect universe but I really like the gameplay they have set for the series, I am a big fan of mixing shooter with RPG and I hope they keep that mix in the franchise. I don't really want an MMO because I hate them, I don't really like RTS games anymore since I played Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 and they ruined it for me (as did Warcraft 3).

I would really like to see the aftermath of the final conflict. How do the Krogan, Rachni, Hanar, Council and Cerebus all continue after everything is back to normal? I would love a game where I play as separate characters in the same timeline in almost chapter fashion and how decisions I make as once character can effect how another character's story could playout, which would keep with the "descisions matter" thing they have going with their RPGs which is really cool.

That's a good idea actually.

I was just thinking about this actually. I was reading Mass Effect: Ascension and there's this bit where a young quarian on his pilgrimage is on Omega investigating the disappearance of a quarian scout team, and it occured to me how cool this would be if this was a game and I was that quarian.

So basically I'd love it if there were some RPGs set in the ME universe, without Sheperd, so a totally different story and set a characters, and you could choose to play one of the other races. It could be like Dragon Age Origins, where the race you choose decides the introduction (a quarian setting out on his pilgrimage for instance). I think that would be awsome.

I would however have zero interest in a Mass Effect MMO, or RTS or whatever. Just an RPG.

This is gonna sound corny but... I would love to see a spin-off (even if it was something like a web-based point & click game) where you're a C-Sec officer trying to solve a murder or something in one of the Wards.

When I first played ME1 I was so hoping we'd REALLY get to go down and spend time in one of the wards. They looked awesome from that observation deck. They're so big you could have an entire game (or another trilogy) in one of them alone, probably.

Have it be one of those "while the events of ME are going on off-camera" type things. Maybe throw in a few general updates from ME as rumors or something. :P

That's a good idea. I'd play that.

While a "what Garrus did while shep was dead" game would be sweet, it would kind of suck because we all know what happens at the end from the start. It's like playing a WW2 game: you know what happens next.

I agree with the DA: Origins idea. Let us create our own character, maybe a Turian soldier, a Krogan mercenary, a Quarian during his pligrimage, an asari Justicar, etc. and give us the ME experience with a lot more of freedom (maybe i want my character to be really evil, not just renegade... mmm, a new Saren).

Regarding the RTS, i am too one of those dreamers of a Homeworld/Master of Orion hybrid set in the ME universe but... the companies don't hear us, dammit!!

I'd personally like to see another Mass Effect style RPG but instead of the super badass miltary man, we get to to play a plucky rogue who survives on his wits and his skill with a pistol. Eventually of course he gets sucked into some epic tale of planet or galaxy saving, but he sort still of smartasses his way through it. That would be my kind of spin-off.

(Yes, I'm aware I bassically recounted the plot to Star Wars as seen through Han Solo's eyes. Yes, I am comfortable with that.)

What about a FPS game where you play as a Turian in the Turian military?
