Did anyone else feel the chemistry between Tali and Kal. Something tells me these two are going end up together, connecting suits and making some bubbles. Thoughts?

If Shep hadn't shown up then definitely.

Kal seemed more like the big brother type to Tali I think.

Then again, I said the same thing about Shepard and Tali. And I jumped at the chance to romance her.

...I am sure that my psychiatrist would have a field day with that one...

I completely agree. I hope something comes of it. We could probably stop world hunger with the collective emotional breakdown energy of worldwide Talimancers.

Possibly, though I think it was more mutual respect rather than romantic attraction.

Jeeze... can't two characters be close friends without there being a love interest? They're squad mates. They're friends. They've been through their own hell together.

They might be willing to connect suits and share air, but that doesn't mean they're looking to start a family.

Tali says she's willing to share air with a FemShep, but there's no romance there.

That's actually my view. That's how I see Tali/Garrus and why I'm not so happy with the fan service romancisation. Tali was like a little sister and Garrus was like a best friend/comrade-in-arms to my Shep in ME, but now they just tell him they're busy and can't talk just because he's not romancing them.

There isn't nearly as much background dialog as in ME1. But, each character has both a recruitment and loyalty mission which provides a lot of background. So, while it feels less personal (and really is), I think you actually have more quality time with each character.

But, yes... if you're not romancing them, they run out of dialog pretty quickly. Or, at least it seems that way. Returning characters from ME1 have less than the new characters, I think. Thane, for instance, seems to have a pretty good backstory that you get via dialog.

BLASPHEMY!  Either romance, or no dialogue options!  All my female coworkers say "Im kinda busy right now can you comeback later?"  because I used up my romance dialogue on someone else.

(Red option selected) Tough cookies.  You're here to save the damn universe from the reapers, not make nookie.

Rofl people cant be friends in the future NOOOOO.

Two characters can be in the same game and not have some hidden plot. Kal can just be a friend or co-worker he does not need to be a secret love, Miranda/Liaras father, the shadow broker, needed for ME3 to be a f/f or m/m LI or any of the other things that pop

The Shadow Broker and Liara clearly had something going on.

Actually, I thought the same, whether its romantic love, or familial, or friendship, they do have some feelings for each other.

Of course not, this is Mass Effect, where everyone wants to jump your bones after you've said two words to them.

I'm looking at you, Ashley.

I could totally see that. She did show a great deal of concern and relief toward Kal in her voice during her recruitment mission. Kal is a professional though and didn't want to have any PDA in front of Shepard. I think it would be a great story for her once she returns to the fleet, show she has grown and matured during her adventures. Taking on a relationship would be a natural part of that growing up.

She can't be happy that he survived (and was the lone survivor) without wanting to jump him?

Shepard-- "you putt your childrens in bubbles?". Great moment by Shepard!.

And nope, i didnt feel or see any possible past romancing between the two.

Jacob and Miranda on the other hand, oh yes yes!. =p

She can, but listen to the way Tali talks to him at her trial.

I find it depressing how if a female is relieved a male is safe and the only survivor of a team taken on a dangerous mission, it instantly means she wants to bone him.

I listen too, but I also don't read so deep into these things I see patterns when there are none.
