"Good Graphics" is just what you cannot have without the upgrade to a proper video graphics CARD. You can have outdated, old fashioned looking graphics, but for the nicer eye candy, you must pay the price.

I had major lag problems too.  Here's how I Fixed it:

1. Start up Mass Effect 2
2. ALT-Tab out of it
3  Open Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-Del, select task manager)
4. Click on "Processes" tab
5. Right Click on Mass effect 2 (Should say "Masseffect2.exe")
6 Click on "Set Affinity"
7 Make sure only the first CPU is checked, uncheck all others.
8 Hit OK, close task manager and enjoy.

You'll have to do this every time you start up mass effect 2 until Bioware fixes it.

WOW this has made a HUGE Difference!!! I can play this game again... I beat it 3 times on my laptop and I started playing again (as I play through Mass Effect 3) I wanted to play Mass Effect 2 again to remember it all... Its good for awhile, around 25 minutes then i get HORRIBLE lag (like never before) I tried updating video drivers... I uninstalled it and all DLC then reinstalled it... But nothing fixed it... I think this has fixed my Issue!! TY!!!! MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!! Im so Happy Beucase I think this worked!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
