if you were to make an MMORPG (mmo cus IMO the only diff is adding content to a standard rpg/not needing as much for a qualityish game) what aspects would you want in it? how would you shape it? what would be YOUR focus?
for all those who have complaints about how games currently function, how would YOU do it better?

i personally would make it a living world, but with bare minimum NPCs, making the player feel like an actual denizin of the world, part of one of numerous factions vying for power in a fantastical world. i personally would like player skill based combat instead of point and click with straight money drops instead of crap vendor drops along with rare/useful drops that come from the dungeons that people would actually want. this would also mean that the quest quality would be forced up, perhaps even at the cost of quantity since the factions would power it. an extensive PvP function would take the spotlight of the game with large, impactful raids, capturing of towns for your faction and competitions of player skill
oh, and why not GIANT boss monsters that would periodically invade entire cities and would take every player currently there to fight off since it itself is the size of a city and takes max level combo attacks to put a dent in its health while an army of normal bosses invade the streets to reign terror down on the low level players?
those are just my ideas though, how would YOU make it?
