I apologize if I misunderstood.

You stated your reasons for disliking Miranda by providing a series of quotes and actions that you did not like.  In turn you quoted what you, as Shepard didn't like about it.  Someone said that your Shepard was boring and you responded.

My impression from the exchange was that you role played a Shepard to not like Miranda for those reasons.  If you also don't like Miranda for those same reasons, then, perhaps you role played Shepard as your own personality.

You're reading too much into it. I do have a military background and as a consequence I role play my canon Shep as a strict disciplinarian. In that role and with that stipulation, I don't want her on my team for the reasons listed. Bioware is responsible for constructing her character and writing her dialogue in such a way that she wouldn't be compatible with my canon Shep. *shrug*

I would like her, but for reals, why did Bioware have to outline her vagina for everyone to see. It was constantly distracting me whenever she was talking. I mean if I were dating a chick and everyone could see her cameltoe, I'd be staring everybody down to see if they were sneakin a peak. Plus you have her infamous bewbs, and getting it on in the Engineering Core (insert Core joke here), it's like everything to see of Miranda was OUT there from the start, very little to the imagination.

Also, it seems she simply didn't like me. It might be the Aussie accent, but I feel like we (the squad) need to fully trust each other in battle. I didn't pursue the full romance with her, only saw pieces of it (a lot of flirting), so bear with me, I'm just stating why I feel my Shepard doesn't feel close to Miranda. I don't hate her (don't hate any squaddies), but damn why they have to flaunt the vertical smile? Not fair to her.

I didn't even notice.  And I was certainly looking at her enough.  I guess that's another reason to boot up the game!

She doesn't like you.  Not at first.  She doesn't trust you.  But, you win her over... because you're just that kind of guy.

The romance was... quick.  Too quick in my mind.  It went from being friendly to waiting to go to bed in about two dialog trees.  it was a little jarring.

You know it's true. That being said, I could not wait to get her loyalty mission done so I could get rid of that white outfit.
And as long as we're talking about game quotes, I'll add:

Miranda: Now there sending him around to fight geth...GETH! *giggle* HEY those geth were DIFFICULT! I had to run around and hit A on their bombs, and then there was a Geth Prime, and it was all really hard! Yes, they aren't the real threat, but don't belittle my playthrough on ME1!

Uhhhh, yeah her groins make creases that make a perfect "V" on her midsection...quite distracting.  Anyways I remember talking to her after her loyalty mission and she talks about her genetic enhancements (again), then all of a sudden Shepard's like "I can't admire your body?" and she's like "I wouldn't mind you admiring my body" and yes the Paragon option after this line is hilarious "you've had 2 years to look at my body, and I was wearing less than you" lol

So yeah it felt fast paced. I think all the romances were fast-paced...instead of 3-4 conversations, 6-7 would have added depth but what can you do?

All romances in ME are like this.  They happen quick and then nothing till the final mission.  I wish they happened earlier and had a bigger impact on the story and the crew throughout the game.

You have one when you recruit them...one when you're "discussing" their loyalty mission...one AFTER the loyalty mission...then I forget how many until the end..maybe 1. I know it wouldn't be considered "romantic" dialogue, but any situation where you can investigate and find more about them is as important to me as the romance dialogue.

Also, did Thane have a ridiculous amount of dialogue compared to everyone else or is it just me?

Miranda's romance seems weird/rushed unless you do the Renegade teasing and kiss her. Then it seems perfectly normal IMO. The renegade thing makes it great....

Yes. I thought Thane had a LOT of dialog.

I don't count the earlier dialog as 'romance' dialog. It's just "getting to know you." You get some background, etc. If you stay neutral for those early dialog, does it affect whether the romance occurs?

Maybe.. I didn't go that way... but I tell her I'd like to admire her body, and then she's talking "Love.'
