Because I had problems with games installed in the Program Files folders, I decided to create my own Games folder to install games. Since then, not a single issue. Apparently the Program Files folders have access restrictions, and making your own folder outside of Program Files avoids that whole mess. I suggest trying to install the game outside of the Program Files folder and see what happens
Did anyone try this?

I have Windows 7 RC1 64-bit and a 9800GTX. I have the downloaded version of the game and the 1.1 patch. The game works great so far, and this may be why:

If I run in to any problems playing DAO today I'll definitely mention it here.

My installation defaults to c:\\games\\Dragon Age and it works fine except once with DEP problems.
I think there might be some kind of "custom install" during install that let you select the directory, but I am not sure.

Yep, do a custom install and don't let it install in Program Files. I played for 4 hours without a single hickup. It could be coincidence though, but it's worth a shot.
