Ahh! Well then! As you were...

But it wouldn't have killed Bioware to have programmed in at least one of the vicious dog things fetching a paper!

How does that have to do with anything.

Rveryone knows futuristic papers float to you using rockets, everyone knows that. DUH.

Ha! That matters?!

You show me rabid dogs, that means you show me Fido. Or you are a Fidophobe.

I think everyone should be able to have a relationship with everyone, for example MShep can have a relationship with Mordin or Garrus or even Legion, and FShep can have a relationship with Tali or Miranda. I think that samesex relationships should be harder to acheive then hetero relationships, this will need to be for both genders however but it should be possible and and easily achieved but not as easy. I think it would be harder to convence one of my good friends to have a relation ship with me then a girl who ive become friends with. So i think it should be possible and it would be amazing! (I hope i explaned that right)

I would not be opposed to this idea. In some ways it might make things a little easier for the devs - a romanceable option would always be a romanceable option for Shepard, whether it's MShep or FShep; no sex switch to enable. There's nothing saying that all squadmates must be romanceable, either (ME2 is a little too close to 'I can do half the ship' for my tastes). Since romances are pretty much entirely based on the PC's advances, rather than relying on flirting NPCs, there's nothing saying that a given Shep will end up in a relationship - combine it with coloured dialogue options for 'romance' and you pretty much guarantee that no one stumbles into a romance when they don't intend to.

In general I'd like richer dialogue with squadmates, whether they're LIs or not. Options to 'just be friends' and continue to have conversations would be appreciated. And if there is an M/M option, while I've said that I'd be okay with the kind of subtle advances Jade Empire had with Sky, I don't really want to have to shoot down both hetero LIs to get there.

Anyway, nice thread

/hats off to you

I agree - I am hetrosexual but know several homosexual/gay males who have played ME2 or plan on playing it.
So it would be nice to have that freedom for those who want to pursue it.

As for BIOWARE being sexist and homophobic regarding this issue - have you even played DRAGON AGE ORIGINS?

I seriously doubt it's an issue of being sexists or homophobic.

For whatever their reasons, it wasn't included in ME2. A shame. But not game breaking. And it's not like there's much to chose from for males. Garrus has an attactive personality. Zaeed is the only other human male. I suppose there's Thane and such. Just like how there's Tali for the males.

Whatever their reasons - again - a shame it didn't get put in ME2. But the issue is clearly not that their sexist or homophobic, as DA:O proves (which came out before ME2, so it's not like DAO was made with those opitions in answer to it not being available in ME2).

The people that made DAO werent that developed the ME2

The writers were.

Um..no they weren't.

Gaider and Sheryl didn't work for the ME team of that I'm certain.

See, this is why Bioware should have avoided adding any gay characters at all in any of their games.

Give an inch.

It doesn't matter whether BW has included same-sex romance options before or not.  The open-ended RPG genre implies it.   People play RPGs because they wish to create their own adventure.  If an RPG has romances, many people wouldn't be satisfied with strictly hetero choices, not at this day and age.

Shepard also can't romance animals, plants or Krogans. He can't have a 3-way or a 4-way. He can't choose to get married or make a decision to change space ships. He's not able to choose to get an ear piercing, tattoo or hair transplant. Heck, he can't even take his helmet off if he's wearing DLC armor... but that's another discussion entirely.

There are many choices that are not intended to be made from a LORE standpoint. I know a few of you don't comprehend this... but do your best. I'm rooting for you.

But she could romance a woman. Twice. The lore is very clear on that. We're just saying...sometimes men need a little same-sex loving, too.

I don't even think it was some. =] maybe one or two but DA and ME team are completely different and ME2 and DA were being worked on at pratically the same time. Gaider is the lead writer of DA and I know for certain he didn't work on ME so...

Oh whatever. I will still play my Kaidan x M!Shep gay romance (complete with VA!) oddly enough even in the sequel. If BioWare is willing to give us some gay romance VOs they obviously aren't homophobic and only strengths the whole "someone upstairs is telling them what to do." argument.

Sad. But probably true. :(

If you wish to address beastiality , Krogan-philia, or polygamy, you should post in threads that request such options.  This thread is about gay romance options specifically, so please stay on topic.
