Why would that be? A large number of heterosexual males enjoy seeing lesbian romances and sexual encounters, and they seem pretty vocal about allowing the Liara-romance (or Kelly-romance) to stay, so why discount the opinion of a heterosexual female who enjoys seeing gay romances and sexual scenes? Her viewpoint is just as valid as anybody else's here.

For my part, as my signature indicates, I think it would be very admirable and commendable for Bioware to include same sex romances (for both male AND female characters) in ME3, and they have my full support should they choose to do so. Ultimately though, the choice is theirs, and I trust them to make a good game regardless of what their decision is.

As for sexual tension between Liara and Shepard.... I think most of us who've lived awhile have at one point or another in our lives truly pined for someone who didn't reciprocate. It didn't mean anything less for us - I know for my history it made it more pronounced - if the object of that affection didn't feel the same. Furthermore, it's perfectly plausible for Shepard to reciprocate Liara's feelings in a romantic or deeply spiritual platonic way... but still be attracted to men. The story still flows well if one reads it that way.

Besides, while Liara is a major character... Shepard is the MAIN character. It's our opportunities to interact with WHO he or she is that are our gateway into the world of Mass Effect.

I'm not saying Liara wasting away pining for you isn't heartbreaking and a perfectly valid plot development.   But the point is that it becomes a plot development.    Perhaps Mass Effect shouldn't be a pseudo-pysco-sexual tragedy, bioware writers never wanted it to be that.     Perhaps they think thats ok.   I think its ok.   You certainly think its ok.   But it doesn't matter.  The point is, at that point, it becomes a artistic decision.   Hence, left solely to the choice of the writers.   Political motivations aren't a valid platform.    Just because their are no gays doesn't mean they hate them.

Hey, I have been playing Heavy Rain and the game is the most interactive game I have played to date. In my opinion it draws you in more than any other game out there

Expressing friendship and concern in the ME universe to someone of the opposite sex (or heck even the same sex in female cases) seems to mean you want to get into their pants.

Just pulling your chain. Liara's actions can be seen as friendshippy.

Heavy Rain has the most immersion of any game I have played and games I am playing currently, that's why I was asking. See if anyone else felt the same

If your talking about Liara here, if you've read the comics, and explored her dialogue even if you don't romance her, its clear that she is in love/infatuated.     No two ways about it.
