Is it wierd that I think she looks better without her hair?

I think she looks pretty hot that way too, actually

I'm with you guys. Natalie Portman is also hotter without hair imo. And it's pretty rare to be able to pull off the bald thing. Special kind of pretty.

YEAH....and what's the deal with no animal romance? I mean there are a lot of people that want to enjoy a perfectly normal love like the love between a man and another man's dog.

/sarcasm

Seriously lover your insecurity is showing, sweetie you should just come out of the closet already. The measure of your insecurity can be accertained from the shrillness of your invective. The very fact that you toss out something completely off topic clearly shows the level of your imaturity honey. I am sure there are plenty of folks on this forum who would be willing to help you flower as the obviously homosexual individual you are struggling to hide. Accept who you are and life will be much more pleasant sugar, maybe not what you expected. I have been watching you on this forum for quite awhile now, you obviously are and articulate, creative, soul who is having trouble accepting the cards life has dealt you. I am quite concerned though with your constant repeated calls for animal relationships in the ME universe, this does disturb me, and i do beleive you should seek proffessional assistance. I for one will have to say that performing sex on a non consent giving life form is not something i would be willing to advertise. It is wrong and to suggest that on a public forum shows just how much in need of counseling you really are. Your attempts to hijack the conversation with outlandish requests for animal romances options MUST be recognized for what it is and attempt to obsfucate the truth, more than likely about yourself. You should spend more time in quiet introspection, or if nothing else just be quiet, because your repeated calls for animal romances strains even my tolerance, and does not shed a positive light on you.

Dragon age had every romance option therefore bioware has no problem with homosexuality.

Bioware avoided homosexuality in ME and tried to justify this by saying it’s because shep is not gay.

Shep can be male/female, paragon/renegade, so clearly in this context there is no reason why shep’s sexuality should be the one thing singled out as fixed.

Therefore it must have been a conscious decision to exclude it because bioware has a problem with homosexuality.

Can anyone make sense of this?

Just because Asari all look like females doesn't mean femshep + liara is lesbian...

Also, call me ignorant, but I really don't want gays in my games. I can tolerate homosexual activism in real life, but Jesus it's a game. Why can't we just be happy with typical relationships. Putting gay relationships into the next game (or any game with this size of a fanbase) would ruin it and cause severe resistance.

You COULD excuse the Asari being "all female" by looking at biology.

It seems the default gender for life itself is "female." Who knows if BioWare did think of that in creating the Asari, or if they really were just wanting to create a race of lesbian, nymphomaniac space elves.

It doesn't matter to me, personally, what the romantic relationships are. I like exploring each option on different characters because you learn more depth about the character in general.

However, Erik, I have to address something to you. If you don't want to have a gay romance in a game that allows it...then don't pursue a gay romance. Simply stick to your straightness. It doesn't hurt to have the option there for other people and if it's not your thing then just don't do it.

Since this thread just won't die, I might as well try to combat the ignorance.

Read this please:

I didn't work on ME1 but I would venture to say that most of the developers feel that Liara/Femshep is an F/F relationship. I don't know if the "she's an asari" thing was ever intended to take away from the F/F aspect (since I wasn't around when the idea was put together) but nevertheless, she was intended as the gay female love interest.

As far as M/M love interests... I can say that it was planned, but as far as I know it was cut due to time constraints. Quite frankly the demand is small. I'm not defending it, but the
choice is between a level that everyone will enjoy and a romance that
only a minority will enjoy. We did it in Jade so we're not afraid of
it; there just isn't enough time.

Sorry to all the gay ME fans Image IPB

Quite frankly it's a giant leap from saying that "there wasn't enough time" to now claiming that Shepard is "pre-defined." I'd really like it if they stuck with one story.

Dude, Bioware wouldn't be FORCING you to pursue a gay relationship. If the fact a gay romance is an OPTION in a game is enough to put you off, then maybe you're a bit sensitive.

I, personally, would love to persue a lesbian relationship just like real life for me! Helps with that whole immersian thing.

I think it was wrong to have a lesbian romance and not have a homosexual romance as well.

I've met a lot of heterosexual girls and I have to say that 99% of them think that guy on guy is much less appealing than two girls going at it. I'd say the same thing goes for almost every heterosexual guy.

Still, each to their own and real love knows no bounds. Just don't expect a gaming developer to market to such a small minority - and the guy on guy fans are a very small minority.

Strangely, Queer as Folk was watched mostly by women (and was the most popular series of Showtime as I remember), Yaoi main target are women (and it's really popular too, more than yuri), Kirk/Spock (and others) slash fiction is written almost exclusively by women and I've heard most customers of gay men adult films are in fact women.

Also I have the feeling that lesbians are less taboo subject then gays and meet far less hostility.

No, this isn't true. Millions of guys ****** to two girls kissing does not equate to acceptability.

Exactly, so please don't write again about  "lesbians are less taboo" again because it's isn't true and isn't answer of my questions in first posts.

Why you take it so personal? It's men opinion against women opinion. You think that your point is any better than ours?

There's no answer to your question, you won't get it here. All we can do is show understandement and agree with you. Yes, I undestand you and agree that you should get M/M romance option but I don't like your attitude.

My mother loves watching guys kiss. Not my thing but hey, whatever floats her boat~

Idk, I see the whole 'lesbian being included but gay not being included' as... well... guys like Lesbians. It's harsh but true - hot lesbians are a fantasy, so the truth is that they're probably right when they're saying their catering to their biggest market which is men.

I know, it's not fair blah blah but it makes sense.

And in response to above post, as a women who has had more than a few meaningful lesbian relationships, I can very easily tell you that lesbians are indeed met with less hostility than gays. Once again, not fair but it's just the way it is.

True. Some could be bisexual.

Oh, and all Asari are female. People who say otherwise are trying to sell you something.

But as for whether or not you want gay men or lesbian women in your games, it's not about you. You're already included, as most videogame characters are heterosexual. Adding the option to have a same-sex romance won't hurt you, and you never have to acknowledge it.

Thanks for that. I find it completely plausible.

I  do not find the whole "Shepard is pre-defined" thing completely unbelievable. Shepard is male/female, was born in space to military parents/on a colony to colonist parents/on Earth and orphaned, and joined the military to become the hero of the Skyllian Blitz/the Butcher of Torfan/the sole survivor of Akuze, and that's just character creation, and ignoring the 5 possible romances for each gender across both games, all of the choices you can make during the game, some of which can have a profound impact on galactic society, as well as the paragon/renegade choices.

But with such a wide diversity, this one thing just can't be?  Yeah. That's a flimsy excuse.

Depends, many women are raped for being lesbian (that's terrible problem in RSA right now).
