Aaaaw men... And women...
How can people be so... "Narrow-minded".
Blaming videogames companies is the latest thing that would come to my mind if something doesn't please me during gameplay. I could send them a letter, or subscribe in a forum, but generally I prefer the philosophy of "Taking what you can take, leaving what you can want" : Mass Effect is a game, it's not a question of death and life if there is Shepard can be allowed to be gay or not gay if lesbian relationship is allowed. You're attaching an incredible importance to... Futile things.
Okay, maybe it's sad that male homosexuals are not well represented in Mass Effect, but Bioware let the main character in Dragon Age choose completly his sexual orientation.
And one last thing... ONE LAST : Do you think that Shepard has also the power to influence other people sexual orientation ? What if gay relationships were allowed, but only Udina would gladly admit that he love our MaleShep ? Will you stick up with him just because he's the only gay ? And what if Quarian culture or Turian culture denigrate homosexuality as humanity has done before ? What if our gay MaleShep end alone with only Jacob or Mordin as love choice ?
As I'm reading you, it's like you want a game perfectly crafted for yourself... This kind of egoist perfectionnist is dangerous, it lead to the fact that somebody can think that he owns everything because he can decide what's good or bad.
Can't you just take Mass Effect as it is ? A video game with a fabulous universe, complex civilisations and interresting gameplay, as well as an immersive and moving story and character's psychology. It's not a political terrain used to demonstrate that Bioware doesn't care about gay people and prefer to show lesbian girls, it's a game ! Not a battlefield !
Oh noes!
How about we tell everyone who complains about
-The battle system
-The Storyline
-The characters
-The DLC helms
-The DLC
-The game in general
To all shut up! And take ME as it is-
Oh wait if they had done that we'd have the same poor combat system, the mako (though not that scanning is any better), the old graphics, the multiple options leading to the same dialogue.
Hm...
Seems its better when people complain after all. Who'd thought!

Oh noes! More options? That'll cheapen the authetic ME experience! OH NOES!

And everyone here wants a game crafted that they'll enjoy. Otherwise we wouldn't be here.
Also: I hate the fact that Shep can pratically romance anyone. Samara was a breath of fresh air. (Also there usually is only one male bisexual LI your point?

Yes if I found him to my liking I would romance him, if not I'd shrug be happy the
option is there and not romance anyone).
Just like the heterosexual LIs. OMGNOWAI!
