I'm fine as long as the romance text is not shown as : "Investigate more" and Shepard say when selected : "I like men/girls, and you ?" or a kind of brutal, accidental dialogs. While I'm not fervently opposed to a gay Shep, it's just not something I would do. Even if it were an options, I wouldn't personally make John seek warmth in Alenko's embrace, nor Garrus'. I might look it up on youtube for a lark, but given the long thought out development efforts on their part, I'm guessing they crunched the numbers for their ideal demographic and during focus groups they probably got a lot of reactions that implored them not to do so.

I wouldn't encourage you to pick a fight, considering PC folks get more opportunities to rewrite history than we Console peoples will ever know. So there's options, but it's not a factor in high enough demand to change the romance path of the game.

It isn't hypocritical. If someone said "M/M is gross and immoral but F/F is totally hawt and God loves lesbians," that would be hypocritical. Could come up with a better example, but the point is that Bioware is not making a statement by the inclusion or exclusion of homosexual romances, and is there not hypocritical unless you're intent upon putting words into their mouth.

Based on the inclusion of every other option imaginable. It becomes increasingly clear that male homosexuality is considered the bottom of the bunch, so to speak.

It's not hypocritical - you are simply reading between lines that aren't there.

Every other option is there, one is conspicuously missing, while the devs pretend that all sides are represented. That is hypocricy, despite of the actual motivations involved.

That's an extreme exaggeration, and is in no way true. Shepard is predefined in many ways.

And yeah. Frankly I really wish they had enough time (if that's actually the excuse) to place M/M in the first game. People would have gotten used to it. And by the second game everyone that would have made a big deal over it wouldn't even be here or would have gotten used to it by now. *sighs* What could have been.

You can deal with "issues" in the game but then balk at one side of the issue? Really?

(I'd have NO problem with only heterosexual romances. None. But the whole "predetermined" BS and the whole "Asari aren't female!" just ticked me off.) Just seemed like a BS excuse after a BS excuse in a sad attempt to backpedal where they shouldn't have gone in the first place. You want a normal but somewhat choice based Sci-fi? Go ahead. No one's stopping you. But don't start spewing BS. If they had went: "We didn't want m/m romances in the game." okay fine. If you're going to do that at least stick to it. Is that really so much to ask? Instead of going: "we didn't have time." and waiting til the 11th hour in the next game to go: "Well its not in this game." *sighs* and then when the question is brought up. The previous lesbian romance that the very devs themselves considered the F/F option is now no longer lesbian because Asari have been retconned into being something other than female. And your character that you touted as being able to make choices is now "predetermined" soo much that his sexuality (not hers because F!Shep can sleep with anything and everything apparently) is somehow forced into the strictly heterosexual box. NM the fact that he can have up to 9 different backgrounds and 3 different psychological profiles. All of that means nothing in the face of overreaching male heterosexuality.

And ME writers and DA were different for the most part.

Some females are not comfortable with themselves so they feel more dominate over a gay male then a straight male therefore the answer to your question.
