Now students, biology 101. Men are different than women. Fact. Men have an X and Y chromosone, Women have 2 X chromosone's.Though there are exceptions in all thing's, there are average genetic layouts for women, and for men. Men have deep voices. Most women do not. Most men find deep voices in women jarring or unattractive.
I've met women in the military, their voice did not magicly get more masculine because they started excercising and wearing a uniform. They still had that whole "XX" chromosone thing going on. Is it wrong for people to have a certain expectation from certain genders? Given societal history, is it wrong for some people to have a backlash(as a result of the feminist movement) to the deep/masculine voices among women thinking of it as some sort of "I am woman, hear me roar" thing? I dont think so. I think it might be wrong to try and force one's view onto another, but that is not what the OP is trying to do. However, everyone else....

I LAUGH at all the "your a sexist" replies. My god, there's a certain ideological spectrum in this world that needs to pull the stick out of their collective asses.

Props for not reading the topic or understanding what masculine is. Oh well.

She's not manly, she's a soldier. Don't be so sexist.
Seriously.
Now, I think it's also ridiculous that some feminists expect us to just abandon our femininity completely, but she's a pretty tough woman. I mean, c'mon, she's running around shooting people with guns all day. That doesn't leave a lot of room for "wearing dresses and acting demure" (which is why my femsheps rarely wear much makeup).
And she DOES have a definite femininity, but it's a NATURAL femininity, not forced! It's realistic! Like her lines when she is being tender towards Tali on her loyalty mission, or during her romance with Thane. It's a GENUINE WOMANLY demeanor, not a forced, false femininity.
I like it a lot, it's realistic, especially considering her occupation and the kind of life she leads.
EDIT: I'm actually a lot like her, I identify with her charactarization a lot (well aside from the shooting people and saving the galaxy part

I concur with this consensus.
Also, Jennifer Hale concurs.

Ah. See, this, this should've been followed by: "We who are about to die salute you."
Because soon you will be pounced upon for expressing this opinion.

Great to see there's so much hate toward the OP for expressing the opinion that masculine women aren't to his taste. I'm inclined to agree with him. Has nothing to do with sexism, and it's ridiculous that the word sexism has even been brought up. Its just a personal opinion. You can try and argue all day that femshep's traits aren't masculine, but not many people will agree with you.
The fact that you're labeling them as masculine traits is what's being called as sexist.
Because...it is.
even with our physical dfifrences (i wont deny this i have taken anotomy) they dont mater in combat any more its point a gun and pull the triger withc i can do very well
