I don't care for a majority of the Winter Olympic sports, but I have been watching the snowboarding and skiing events.

Just about all sports viewing on tv is awesome and the olympics are a great once every 4 years treat. Just excellent stuff.

Personally I think its the best sports there is to watch. Think about it, these athletes have devoted their entire lives, most since they were little kids, to be able to preform for a very small time period. Some sports only take the athlete a few seconds to be either a gold medal winner or a looser and they trained their entire lives for that moment. It can be heartbreak and it can be a true joy and all in the same competition, sure they are going to make money if they win gold but until that point they were going because they loved it, not for the money.
Some of Canada's gold medal winners grew up in my home town and I have to say to see them up there getting their medals, well I had tears in my eyes because I know how much work they put in. I like to watch pro hockey but the Olympic gold medal winner in my oppinion is the pinacle achievment of just about any athlete's career.

Couldn't care less about the Olympics, depressed that they visit my country next. I imagine all we'll get is blanket coverage from the BBC whilst all the newspapers moan about the cost of hosting it. It's gonna be tedious
