I found myself wanting to have an easy way to figure out at what point in a playthrough I could stop bothering to scan planets, spend money on probes, and, to a lesser extent, look for credits.

I whipped up a spreadsheet that has a list of all the research terminal upgrades and the associated upgrades you can buy from stores.  The way I use this is to have it open on another screen or in the background and then mark the upgrades as I get them.  I was somewhat careful when making it, but there were a lot of numbers to input and add up correctly, so please let me know if you see any errors :pinched:

The figure for credits doesn't account for things like fuel, probes, decorations for Shep's cabin, hack modules, N7 armor pieces, or money given to NPCs, but those are fairly inexpensive compared to upgrades and are optional in some cases.

Since I usually don't buy the scar remover and don't do too much retraining, those costs are zero by default.  I'm also usually a Paragon, so the choice between assault rifle damage and heavy weapon capacity in Zaeed's mission defaults to the latter.  They're included in the formulas, so all you have to do is change the values if you want to do something differently.  Finally, remember to reduce the mineral values if you're an Engineer:happy:

Weird...it shows there being a file and a download link on the file tab when I'm logged in as myself, but if I use a browser where I'm not logged in, it says there aren't any files for the project. Does anyone know how I let people download stuff from a project?

I'm a dummy.  Apparently files are visible to project members only by default. It should be exposed now, but let me know if it isn't!

Good job! Mining resources is definitely a drag. Frankly, I think the Long Service medal should do away with having to gather resources at all. Just start the game with 500k each. Its not like hunting resources adds anything whatsoever to gameplay...its just simple tedium than you dont even have to do past the halfway mark in the game.
