Become a fan!

Loading screens are dull; don't we all miss engrossing conversations on the elevators?

I am glad they yanked them from ME 2

The elevators were annoying. Get over it. Hearing that damn music and the same news reports over and over again sucked.

Actually, I liked them. Just fix the news reports, then. I'd rather stare at something dynamic and that has some meaning than nice images of my ship doing stuff.

Or, maybe, if during the loading times, we could control the Normandy, kinda like in the galaxy map, but just play with it. Like how in Bayonetta and Assassins Creed you can run around and stuff during the loading screen.

I would just like something to do.

I loved the elevators. Missed them in ME2. If people didn't want elevators in ME1, they just had to use the rapid transit system. It was easy.

No thank you. However, we could use more banter between squad mates.

I support elevators. Some of the longer ones could be toned down. I know they were extra long on the 360 version.. but that's what you get for using a console that carries PC technology from 2000.

i enjoyed the elevators! they not only gave you amusing and interesting squad conversations, but also provided insight into the larger-scale impact of the outcomes of the smaller side missions throughout the game.

No elevators but add more convos between squad members

I support elevators, as long as we don't have that ridiculous 30 second long Normandy to C-sec elevator. People were frustrated with the load times (fault of the xbox) on the elevators, not the mechanic itself.

The elevator keeps you in the game world, and properly ported to PC there is NO reason for an elevator to take as long as that one did.

I don't know about the elevators, but I certainly miss party banter. The lack of it between your squadmates was a big disappointment for me.

And staring at the same loading screen and hearing the same loading sounds over and over was so much better?

BW said that they artificially inflated some of the elevator times because they wanted you to feel the grand scale of the citadel.

An open faced elevator that moves really fast would give you a good sense of scale. :P

Scale and immersion are nice, but when something like that is going to be used more than once, it needs to have some kind of distraction built in. The banter is a good start, or the ability to mess with your inventory while it's running.

Lots of ways to make elevators workable and keep scale and remove tedium as well.

Shepard and the squad could use the elevator time to work on his/her dancing skills. That music was kinda catchy. Personally, I would bring Legion along to tutor him.

I agree, the elevators keeped you in the game world. I will take a long elevator ride over a boring load screen anytime

I'm up for anything but loading screens. They were nice, but they made me miss seamless loading points.

i think the elevators could have been fixed, but taking out the interactive and seamless loading experience for traditional loading screens wasn't the answer. maybe give us something like from assassins creed that allowed us to do stuff while loading.

I'd prefer loading screens with actual lore, codex info, or quest info instead of a boring schematic picture that I have to rewatch around 500 times. They can easily just add banter similar to Dragon Age, as you pass certain checkpoints, characters will start to interact (don't need an elevator).

Yes but since you must have load screens at this point in time why would you not want an interactive loading screen with some dialog, news and whatnot?

I never got the hate. It is a loading screen in disguise, good for Bioware that they tried to hide th darn things as opposed to just saying Loading..............

Not sure i support the return of the old elevators, that being said though i do think that the old elevators added a layer of immersion that was lacking in ME2. Yes they were pretty long and alot of people liked to **** about them but they were still less intrusive than the flat loading screens of ME2 and they (at least for me) added a little extra sense of scale to the buildings and such (which again i felt was abit lacking in the sequel)

Looking ahead to ME3 i think a compromise between the two methods would probably be a better idea than simply leaving the current system be. Granted nothings really broken with the loading but i don't think anyone here would be pissed if Bioware found a way to load sections while still maintaining their games immersion(in place of a "if it aint broke dont fix it approach".)
