Hi!

I just beat Mass Effect (DVD PC version), watched the credits, and was dumped back to the main menu. Great!

I go download Bring down the Sky, appears to install just fine, I load up ME, it runs fine. I click 'Resume' and ---

It brings be back to the final Saren battle? Ok, fine, I re-beat Saren, watch the end credits, get dumped back to the main screen, click 'Resume'... and it sends me back to the final Saren battle. Again.

I've never had any issues with loading / saving games during the last 20 hours of gameplay. But for some reason, Mass Effect doesnt seem to 'save' the fact that I beat the game, watched the credits, ect.

My question is -- how do I finish the game, so that it is 'saved', and how do I play the Bring down the Sky part from here? (Anytime I load my current game, I'm fighting saren again, and as soon as I win, credits roll, and then back at the main menu. No where am I allowed to 'save' after beating Saren, and I really dont want to loose my character or have to re-start the whole game, just for the DLC

Thanks!

Oh, I should mention, Im pretty sure Bring down the Sky installed correctly, as it shows up in the Mass Effect main menu under 'Downloadable Content' menu. But if I click on 'Bring down the sky' it just shows the credits....

You can do it only in ME2. In ME1 you have to play the DLC before you go into the finale battle!

As Kondorr stated, BDtS can be accessed after you become a Spectre, but once you go to Ilos, you can't access it any longer. If you have a save from before you went to Ilos, then you will see it on the galaxy map as 'Asteroid X57'. If not, you'll have to start a new game, or a new game+ to play it.

You cannot continue to play after you beat the game. Reload an earlier save.

I ran into the same problem - not sure I want to go back and replay ME1 while my ME2 sits on the shelf! One of the above posts seems to suggest you might be able to do BDTS in ME2 - would that be possible?

No, BDtS is ME1 DLC, not ME2 DLC. AFAIK. FYI.
