I think this term is officially banned by an amendment to man-law 18.345.2C  Thou shalt not have pet names for other male peers, not to be confused with hilarious nicknames like "shiitbrick" or "Busey".

You do know pal basically means friend right? If you do know that, you're saying that your only is friend is your nephew, which is pretty sad.
