Has anybody figured out yet what the lever is for in the armory of Bann Franderel's estate? (the location of the final quest from Slim Couldry)

By all accounts it does nothing. Also, I noticed yesterday on my 2nd run through the estate (the 2nd time Slim sends you there, after the 1st failed attempt) the lever was not there. I don't recall on my earlier plays if the lever was present the 2nd time or not.

It does nothing, much like the campfire in the werewolf ambush.

I also noticed it is not there on the 2nd quest. I thought maybe it was a sucker play, "let's put a lever here so if someone sneaks in they might pull it and alert the guards."

I like to think it removes Bann Franderel's pants. That's why it is so heavily guarded.

I think it was originally meant to be a longer quest and they shortened it, the lever probably had a use at some point.
I get the same feeling for the Interested Parties questline because if you go to fight K there is more to the map than that one room.

You know, I was wondering about that!
As for K's ambush, I think they were just reusing a map from another quest--if you notice, it's the same as the map for the blood mages' hideout in The Last Request (at least the part we can see).
